Feb 12, 23. A muffalo, which is a large, bison-like beast with a startlingly human-like head... Despite how it looks, the "eyes" are actually the nostrils. The true eyes are in a cluster of three on what looks to be the forehead. These are very rudimentary, like the 3rd eyes on lizards. They can detect movement and changes in light - maybe blurry shapes if they're lucky. They rely on scent more to navigate, hence the size of their sniffer. Muffalo use their facial muscles to emote in much the same way as humans do. This is terrifying...! Worse, the have a band of snarling muscles around their nostrils that can often look like eyebrows when flexed. If these things couldn't carry like double their body weight, nobody would go near them for the violent uncannyness...
