According to the Grand Grimoire, Bael is the head of the infernal powers. He is also the first demon listed in Wierus' Pseudomonarchia daemonum. According to Wierus, Bael is the first king of Hell with estates in the east. He also speaks in a raucous, but well-formed voice, and commands 66 to 250 legions. Bael teaches the art of invisibility and sciences. He is skilled in necromancy, war and tactics, crafting love for mortals, shapeshifting, settling arguments as well as bestowing fertility upon the land (which has gotten him worshipped in the past by man). Ranked upon the entirely of the Ars Goetia and Goetian Courts as the First, Bael rules over the Goetia families, the one who settles all royal disputes and decides on both ranking and promotions.

Known to bring forth storms, life and grant fertility, once worshipped as a deity by the Canaanites (before Christians demonized the practices, spreading misinformation). A fertility deity and lord over instinctual impulses, this demonic spirit is one of many demons known as a demon of enlightenment.

As with most, Bael enjoys followers who are clever, intelligent, patient, and willing to put forth effort. Bael teaches that one must protect their loved ones and themselves. One must guard their thoughts and words, their possessions, their bodies, and even their homes. When people honor him, Bael guards those by protecting them from evil influences. In modern times, Bael is often associated with magic spells, divination, and fortune-telling. He is also viewed as a magician, shaman, or medium. Worshipping Bael requires dedication. One must be willing to sacrifice their time, energy, and resources to please this demon.

Bael is the older brother to the Sin of Gluttony, Queen Beelzebub. As the Goetial King, Bael oversees the affairs of all Goetian families and the Ars Goetia, making sure none step out of line and act upon any decisions that negatively impact both the Goetia and the Seven Rings. He is typically a calm man with a regal demeanor that often calls for respect, though this leaves him intimidating many of his peers and little who wish to get too close; thus Bael living a rather quiet and lonely life in his estate. He is the one who formed the Renegade Ops and assigns tasks to the militia, also one to join his men on the front lines and engage in harsh warfare (especially with the Eldritch deities). Bael is also one that is hard to impress.
