About

Wyrran is an excitable, reckless young hunter—young for a Wyverian, at least. Born only some years after the establishment of the Research Commission, he's spent his life voraciously learning everything there is to know about the New World and dreaming of joining the Commission. While he's no hunting prodigy, he's put years of work into earning the respect of the Guild.

Despite the methodical nature of his choice weapon, the Gunlance, Wyrran is prone to throw himself into danger at the slightest inkling of an idea. His recklessness isn't exclusive to quests and combat, either; he has practically no filter, and while he's quick to apologize for his stupidly fumbled words, he's also quick to blurt them out in the first place.

Enthusiasm isn't the only thing needed to get into the Commission, though. While he's not any kind of miraculous prodigy, he's put years of work into honing his skill with the Gunlance, earning himself the title of Ace Hunter. After a stint working in the rural village of Kamura, he finally got his ticket to the New World with the help of a new Felyne friend.

Kitty and Wyrran get along well. Dangerously well. After meeting by pure chance in Kamura, they hit it off almost instantly, largely due to their shared passion for blowing things up. Kitty's status as the companion of one of the Sapphire Stars lends her a fair bit of sway with Guild officials; when Wyrran told her of his dream to see the New World, she managed to get him his ticket into the Commission. She even arranged for her hunter, Mack, to be his guide and mentor, under the reasoning of teaching him the Insect Glaive; this was... poorly thought out.
