Yuriko is a cat spirit that has been wandering the city for almost a decade. Right before she died, she got hit by a car along with a mysterious white cat that happened to be there. Her body was sent to the hospital and when she finally woke up she looked at her hands and feet only to find that they were missing. Scared by the sudden change, Yuriko ran outside through the hospital window, she ran and ran until she stumbled upon a small pond. Peaking down to see her reflection, what she saw, along with her now invisible hands and feet, were cat ears and a tail, a pure white kimono and what appears to be a white triangular paper with a band on her head. Yuriko stared hard into the water and tried thinking about what happened before she woke up on the hospital bed. She could not recall anything that happened at that time and for some reason couldn't even remember her name.

Yuriko walked around the area for days on an empty stomach, she slowly accepted the fact that she was dead. Knowing so, she lost the will to look for food, hung around a quiet neighborhood and sat down near a shrine. She lost all hope of trying to look for anything that could help her remember her past and just sat there for a whole week. After a week of no sleep and hunger, she started hearing the sound of footsteps and then eventually, the voice of a man. Shocked at the fact that somebody approached her, she slowly looked up at the person. He appeared to be a tall man, around his early 20s, who wore a traditional priest attire. He seemed to know right away that she was a spirit whose soul was merged with a cat the moment they both died and clashed together. He asked her to follow  him, fed her a meal and has been helping her since then.

About a decade later, Yuriko socializes with stray animals and occasionally helps out at the shrine she gets to visit. Even though she has no relatives or a home, she loves the new bonds she made with the animals in the city and the few people that can actually see her. She loves floating around the city and dressing up in clothing with a material made especially from the shrine. When she spots troublesome children or adults, she would often give them a scare.
