Naja (Spectacled Cobra)

The Naja are a proud subspecies that, like a number of other Serpentes subspecies, have the capability to flatten some of the ones around their neck giving them a large hood used for intimidation or to express anger. When relaxed their ribs return to their normal shape causing their hood to disappear. Some Animalian have a hard time recognizing a Naja, or really any cobra if its not hooded up causing many Naja to keep their hood up when out in public as to not be confused with another subspecies.

Each Animalia subspecies has some unique things about them, but through their species, they share some similar characteristics. If you are drawing an Serpentes, please keep these things in mind.
