02 — Personality
Chip is somewhat well-known as an extraordinarily intelligent person. Despite constant praise, he has very low self-esteem and feels like he has very difficult expectations to meet. He is often worried that if he fails or shows weakness his admires will turn on him. .
This mindset also makes him a bit of a pushover, because he feels that if he says no to anyone they'll hate him. This makes him appear sympathetic and kind, but also very socially awkward and nervous around people

03 — Background
Family
Chip was homeschooled by his dad for a few years until his dad mysteriously disappeared. Then he went to live with his aunt and uncle to begin public school at the age of 12. He doesn't know what happened to his dad, but tries not to speculate.
Sometimes he worries that it was his fault that his dad dissapeared, and that his dad was tired of caring for him and homeschooling him. He wonders if his dad's dissapearence was somehow related to Chip failing him as a son. He finds it strangely comforting to imagine his father was murdered.
Story
In Chip's first year of school, he had no idea how to interact with other children, and had never befriended someone his age. Luckily, he managed to make a couple of friends, including Mew and this guy named Brian Boing who I haven't posted yet. (he's actually included in one of the pictures in Chip's gallery, hes the green tortoise guy)
When Mew asked him out he said yes because he didn't want to lose one of his only friends by saying no, but eventually, he actually started liking her romantically. Though Chip has only dated girls, he also feels attracted to those of the same gender.

05 — Relationships
friend
Trunks looks up to Chip a lot and sees him as a sort of mentor figure. Chip considers him to be a good friend, though of course treats him a bit differently than his other friends due to his young age.
girlfriend
Chip and Mew are dating. Mew asked Chip out, and he mainly said yes because he didn't want to lose her as a friend. Considering the way they started dating, they have a pretty good relationship.
