Montgomery died in an unusual situation; by getting choked out by a drunk guy then being buried underground. He ended up coming back to life due to unkown circumstances, diggin up himself from his own grave. He had to go to the hospital to get multiple patches done on his body due to dystroyed skin or parasites that infected him. Thats why he looks the way he does.
