Hailing from the Splatlands, this self-serving Inkling is in here to prove her glory among the normies!

As you may have guessed, this royalty is here to serve herself! Maybe a bit too much about herself. She has the charm of the typical rival Ojou-Sama archetype; a little bit of a prick, prideful about her abilities, care a bit much for her social standing. But she has every right to be, she's got the wealth to boot and channels all her strengths into battling, running into the field with weapons that are regarded as low-tier and using it to splatter her way to victory!

That said... there are rumors she has been seen 'bending ink to her very will', even during matches in broad daylight.. Could she be a sort of psychic?"

Duchess is a perfect example of a textbook "Ojou-Sama" character archetype from her initial disposition. She's a woman from a clan in the Splatlands who uses her wealth and status to rise to the top of Splatsville's Anarchy ranks. Duchess carries herself with class and utmost care for her almost "royal" status and will not tolerate those who fail to recognize her percieved importance, she feels a sense of entitlement and will do a lot of things to make sure it go her way. She thrives in the spotlight, whether its her being adored or being flamed by those around her, but never moved when people go out of her way to throw her off with sweet woes or insensitive remarks. Duchess always thinks of the end goal to fill her need to be her best, presentable self. Despite how overbearing she can be, her strong personailty and charisma outshines those around her, but will occasionally snap if given a reason to be genuinely upset. Duchess almost seems too untouchable, and will even purposely choose not to engage with others from the lack of interest.

Even so, she's not all what she seems. That harsh exterior will melt away if surrounded by the right people. Duchess can get along with folks who share her good interest and goals in her mind, but will still act somewhat sarcastic and sassy around them, sometimes unknowingly sharing sensitive remarks. She's probably a dorky cringefail if she's ever stricken by puppy love, but won't admit defeat even if you do catch a glimpse of it. It's hard to see that side of her because of how she distances herself from people. She suffers from being a perfectionist, her pride covers up her anxieties about of her not-so-apparent shortcomings due to her family background. Duchess will go on the defensive if she feels vulnerable, she builds a wall around people to protect herself when her very idea of self-preservation is threatened. If given a good reason, Duchess will not hesitate to use full force to get the point across, letting her emotions (and magic) the better of her.
