Fun fact #1: New world and old world quail are unrelated to each other (but they are very distantly related), meaning you can't breed them together. Old world are in the same family as chickens and pheasants whereas new world are their own family!
Fun fact #2: There are many different colour variations to Bobwhite quail, some are snowflake (black and white), white and tennessee (dark red and some white)
Fun fact #3: Quail are insectivores, they love bugs as a treat.
Fun fact #4: Bobwhites have various different calls that have completely different meanings, such as a greeting call and a food call.
Fun fact #5: Quail nests are made out mainly from grass and are shaped like a dome, eggs can take from 22-26 days to hatch and offspring is fully mature at 6 months.
