they're a past kittypet, probably recruited during a spread of greencough. they were really helpful because they were able to go into the twoleg place undetected to gather the catmint, and weren't caught because they had a harness (and were assumed to just be an outdoor house cat). they were pressured into joining the clan after. they could care less about the clan and instead vowed to protect the cats themselves. they dont really believe in the clan system or the 'longevity of the clan'. they just want to protect everyone.
they arent good at hunting and fighting, but are good at sneaking around- so they are often used to spy on other clans or for recon. for example if there is a fox/badger or an ambush from other cats, they're usually the first to see it and warn the clan cats. they're usually out of the camp most of the time watching the border. however, theyve become quite the contraversial figure as of late, because there was another sickness spread around. herbs and regular treatment werent working on a certain kit who was weak as is, and flickerflame, who recognized this sickness as one they had back when they were a kittypet, remembered being treated for it. so they brought the kit to humans for them to treat, and obviously everyone is very upset about this.
they refuse to remove their harness and that makes cats think that they were never really loyal and they embody the rule in the warrior code to 'reject the soft life as a kittypet' so their whole presence is contradicting that rule. its up in the air whether they are going to stay in the clan, because its the leader's descision, but they hope they can convince ___star to let them stay and change the rules.
