Wesley is the only son of a famous movie director and a fashion designer. As a kid, he glued himself to his parents and developed anxiety around cameras. He was briefly forced into acting until his parents let him quit. His family consists of models, producers, influencers and other entertainers while Wesley fosters some sort of imposter syndrome. He still hates being on camera.
Having a lot of connections and having taken piano lessons years prior, he writes songs for other artists. Being the son of Mick Hawthorne and Clair DuBois also means he gets to attend movie premieres, fashion shows, award shows and more.
His mother is very erratic and his dad is always zoned in on his projects, so it's always been hard to buy a second of their time or attention—even now. Once he started attending school, he was dumped off on his nanny and his parents were constantly gone. He became a bully throughout school to make up for the lack of attention but he's grown out of it... Sort of.
His anger issues still get the best of him sometimes and he can be pretty rude, but he's trying to unlearn those behaviors. He's fiercely protective of his friends, especially Braiden and Brooke, and will often prioritize their needs over his own.
