Always fun-loving and exciteable, meet the eccentric Nocturn, a jester and trick-performer in the Tandem Circus. They are seen most often with Twister, as the two are most notably the leads of the circus (with Twister ranking higher).

NOCTURN'S "FACE" IS ACTUALLY A PORCELAIN MASK! Due to their former role in their old circus, she prefers to have her real face hidden at all times.
No one save for Twister (and any unfortunate victims of Nocturn) has ever seen her real face, and what's under that mask no one will ever know.

i. past
Nocturn was born to very poor parents who could not afford a child. While their parents were still holding out hope, all of that fell when their child was born with facial clefts and very dark eyes, the right side faring worse than the left. Because of this, Nocturn was kept hidden most of the time, both from onlookers and even her own parents once she was old enough to care for herself. Nocturn never really knew what the outside world was like, until their parents decided to take her for a walk.
Met with stares from passerby, Nocturn had no idea why she was being stared at in such a way. Her parents led her to meet a man who was known throughout their town as the head of a circus, and in a negotiation he was willing to take in Nocturn. Still young and unaware, Nocturn willingly went with the man while waving good-bye to her parents, not knowing that this would be the last time they'd ever see them.

Time in the Old Circus
Once Nocturn was well-integrated into the circus, she was granted the name she has now for her split day-and-night fur. The cleft patterns ironically looked like the stripes clowns would paint on their faces, so the Head decided to train her as such. They became a freak in a freakshow, an oddity for people to stare at as she performed.
