Courageous/Hot-Headed
Displaying a very heroic personality, it’s sometimes overshadowed by how hot-headed and temperamental Rui could be. Rui would always be the first one to jump in at any sign of danger but his brash nature can sometimes get him into trouble and, worst case scenario, an even more dangerous situation.
Fierce/Stubborn
With a mix of being incredibly stubborn while also a very fierce person, Rui is sometimes hard to deal with and can often come off as being a bit of a brat. Once he sets his mind to something, it’s almost impossible to change it. Usually, only Ez or Dima are able to convince Rui to change his mind about something. At the same time, Rui is also a very fierce opponent in a fight, being able to be quick and light on his feet thanks to his cat genetics.
Oblivious/Curious
When it comes to things like flirtatious behavior, innuendos, or something as simple as involving feelings about something, Rui is often incredibly oblivious and wont really catch on. He needs to be told something directly because if they try to hint at it, he wont catch it. Although, this often leaves him curious and searches for answers if someone tells him ‘never mind’ or some other way to drop the topic. His curiosity also comes in handy when it comes to exploring the ocean, islands, and abandoned places such as buildings on islands or sunken ships.
Innocent/Outgoing
Despite some of his flaws, Rui is a very outgoing, friendly person and likes meeting new people. He’s very innocent though and flusters very easily once he understands what someone is talking about if they’re flirting or insinuating something. He can be a bit tsundere in this sense due to become very nervous and flustered.

- Has a female form that he likes to take on occasions. He doesn't switch often and mostly stays in his male form.
- Really innocent, probably wont understand innuendos or flirtatious behavior. Pretty oblivious; it takes actions to get his attention and make him understand. Once he understands someone's motives, he flusters very easily. Has a very tsundere like attitude.
- Wants to be just like his father. His father was a semi-infamous pirate that fell in love with his mother, a noble nekomata but was also known for his bravery and fierceness. Rui strives to be just like him.
- Strives to get stronger and more skilled. His stubborn and hot-headed temper can sometimes get him into trouble with this.
- His father passed his pirate ship, which had been in their family for three generations, down to Rui when he turned 18. He cant steer for shit though and tries his best to learn from his co-captain and first mate Dima.
- Often disappears with Ez when they anchor in the ocean for the night or day, or when they stop at random islands.
