History
Higgs married and had started a family by the young age of twenty. He was often away for work but he would come home as often as he was able in order to make sure that he was able to watch his son grow up. However when he was twenty-five his family was taken from him a seemingly random act of violence in Jun Nazu and he has never quite recovered from it. He fell heavily into his work to the point of outcasting himself until he was eventually partnered with Emil to train him. A few months into their mentorship they found themselves stranded in Sonderime for a few weeks and during that time Higgs grew attached to the younger male. Their romantic relationship is still fairly new and strained but they are doing the best that they are able for one another. For those who know Higgs this is definitely the happiest that he has been since he lost his family... not that you can really tell outwardly.
