Charlatan Scam: I put on new identities like clothes.
Mostly raised by his mentor, Andre grew up helping her in her various schemes and cons, learning to take from the gullible and rich to fend for himself. He keeps a loose code, he only takes from those who he knows can afford it, and misses no chance to take from those who deserve it.
As a tiefling, Andre always had a miniscule amount of innate magical abilities, but around the time he turned 18 they seemed to suddenly rupture from him in often unfortunate ways. At the time, he and his mentor were running a con,and the explosion of his oddly chaotic ability caused the facade to come apart. In the commotion, he'd separated from his mentor and has been on his own ever since. Since the event, he's also been working to pull his abilities under control, with limited success.
Andre is out of practice in his conmanship but he can't unlearn how to see someone as a potential mark, and he always has extra identities he can slip into. Andre is not the first name he's had and likely it won't be his last.
