Shinju appears slightly reserved and mean-looking to those who don't know him. However, with his friends he's always up for causing trouble , he's the silent prankster of the 'Trickster Trio' and easily goes along with all the pranks Kairi comes up with, she's often utilising his abilities to help the pranks be more outrageous. He's got a typical tsundere personality but has grown very close to Jin and Kairi, and recently Nomu and Chiho, and they see the more hidden fun-loving, energetic and carefree side that not many do.

When kowaiko first meet Shinju he often acts quite aloof. He finds it very hard to trust people due to bad past experiences and so had developed a more 'tsundere' personality and approach to life. He didn't have many friends as a result and went through life mostly on his own until recently. He met Kairi by chance and then Jin shortly afterwards and after a bit of time they all developed a very close friendship.
They were the only two people who he truly felt comfortable being himself around. He slowly started to act more like his old self and he hasn't looked back since, he trusts them dearly. With their help Shinju found the confidence to open himself up to a few others, like Nomu, Takashi and Chiho, and now finds himself surrounded by a good group of close friends, something he never thought he'd have again.

Shinju feels the most comfortable around Jin. He knows he can truly be himself around him without fear of judgement. He enjoys teasing Jin and appreciates the easy banter that they have.

Will forever be grateful for Kairi. Knows he wouldn't be where he is today without her and will never be able to thank her enough. He loves being part of her pranks and finds her so much fun to be around.

Shinju is very close to Takashi because of his relationship with Jin. Shinju appreciates that he cares a lot for Jin, but has also found himself enjoying hanging out with Takashi too recently.

Shinju enjoys playing pranks on Nomu with the 'Trickster Trio'. He finds that Nomu can be very quiet at times but he's quick to try cheer him up with a light-hearted prank of his own.

Shinju is still a bit wary around Chiho has he's known him for the shortest time. He's slowly warming up to him though and has found that they actually get along quite well. He finds him very funny.
