Sootfur

Sootfur's life was tragic from the start, she was given to Shadowclan by her father in exchange for food when she was a kit, and he never returned. When she was an apprentice, she trained in the Darkforest with her best friend Shadepaw, both of them believing that it would make them stronger for their clan. But when Shadepaw died in battle, Sootpaw -Now Sootfur- took revenge for her friend by killing Wickerwisker. Little did she know that it would only further intertwine her soul with the Darkforest. For moons Sootfur would fight against the Darkforest in attempt to leave their clutches. 

One day as fate would have it, Sootfur ran into a Thunderclan warrior by the name of Fuzzy'ears, a cat rumored to be blessed by the stars and the very son of the great warrior Whitefoot. She meant to grow close to him and get help in relieving her from the Darkforest, but an unexpected road bump occurred. Sootfur fell in love with him. One thing lead to another and she learned she was expecting kits on a visit to the medicine den for an upset stomach. And the Darkforest had never had more eyes on a warrior than before.

Jaggedclaw, king of the Darkforest, knew for the last few moons that his prized warrior was attempting to simply leave the darkforest and word that she had kits on the way with a warrior blessed by the stars was a bargain waiting to happen. On a dark night he came to Sootfur in her dreams and offered to free her from the darkforest if she trained her kits to be warriors for the Darkforest. And threatened that if she did not comply he would simply "Remove her" from the situation. So she accepted.

Sootfur met Fuzzy'ears under the Thunderpath and came clean to him about everything, the kits, the Darkforest and the awful deal she'd made with Jaggedclaw. Fuzzy'ears was understandably angry at first, but then compromised a plan that she could fake the kits death by raising them in Thunderclan. And to save Sootfur from being killed, she would keep the smallest kit and hope and pray he wouldn't last the oncoming leaf-bare to ensure she would be free. 

Sootfur had four kits Copperkit, Finchkit, Longkit and the runt Owlkit. Sootfur and Fuzzy'ears left to the outskirts of the clans for a few days after the kits were born before handing them off to Fuzzy'ear's friend Hornetsnap who had agreed to taking care of the kits after losing her litter just days before. Which left Sootfur with the task of raising her "Only son" Owlkit to one day become a blood thirsty killer to earn her freedom.
