ABOUT
Norma Coughs is one of the nearsiblings, half-Comet and half-Coughs. She loves bugs and all sorts of creepy crawlies and holding them and taking care of them. As a child, she would look for bugs and bring them in the house, much to the displeasure of other kids who were scared of bugs- especially wasps and spiders which are some of her favorite bugs. She gets really upset when people don't understand bugs. She also is really interested in seaferries and marine biology and equally doesn't like seeing them hurt and believes most aquariums are unethical.
Norma is a lot like Eve in the sense that she likes to bother and bug people and cause trouble in the family, stirring up drama and making people mad, especially Sly and Ally. She goes along with Eve's jokes mostly because she wants to make Eve happy -- she isn't really naturally a mean person and just wants to fit in and have fun with her specifically, since Eve is the only family member that Norma has a bond or connection with.
This is mostly because she experiences a lot of disconnect being half-Comet and half-Coughs. She feels like she doesn't really belong in either house and isn't normal because of that. She doesn't like feeling this way, but can't shake it. She wants to feel closer to people, but she feels like she can't really relate to anyone, even if they share her interests like some people do, like Doom for example. She feels alone a lot, but Eve helps with that.

Norma just goes with whatever Eve is doing and doesn't really do much on her own accord aside from doing stuff related to her interests. She naturally has follower instincts and struggles to make her own decisions, and sometimes feels like she doesn't know who she is because of it.
Defender of bugs
Norma relates a lot to bugs like wasps or spiders because she feels like people misunderstand her and don't really want her around, just like them, and this gives her a lot of empathy for the creatures -- because she feels like they're alike.
Music fan
Norma is really passionate about music and bands and loves to listen to it. She doesn't really write it herself or anything, but knows a lot of trivia about music and the history of certain genres. It's something she's very passionate about.
STORY EVENTS
Swooping in
When Eve had her falling out with Sly, Norma took on the duty of taking care of Eve since she saw how lonely and sad squeak was. She wanted to help Eve through this, and the time they spent together made them grow very close and they bonded strongly over their feeling like they don't belong anywhere or with anyone else. Their closeness is something truly special and has helped both of them get through some really rough times.
SIGNIFICANT LINKS
Eve and Norma are very close and get up to mischief and trouble together all the time -- they have no problems getting along. Sometimes Norma feels a little sad when Eve pays attention to other people more than her, though, mostly because she feels so disconnected from everyone else all the time. Norma just wants to make Eve happy.
Despite how she often participates in Eve's teasing of Sly, Norma doesn't actually have any problems with Sly, and when Eve isn't around (though rare) their interactions can be relatively normal -- but as soon as Eve comes in, Norma goes straight back to being a little pest.
Norma and Ally have a pretty negative relationship, as Norma is usually trying to make Ally upset because she thinks it's funny when Ally loses control of her magic and often messes things up as a result.
One of Norma's ways of making Ally angry is pretending to flirt with Howie to make fun of him, which obviously makes Ally pretty mad because A. that's her boyfriend and B. Norma is just being mean and trying to make him embarrassed.
Uni and Norma have a positive relationship, even though Uni worries about Eve being a bad influence on Norma a lot of the time. However, she struggles with going to Uni for advice because she usually doesn't like the way Uni talks to her.
CARRIE is the one Norma goes to for advice since Carrie is kind of a "cool mom" and seems to understand Norma a bit better than Uni does, and she feels like she can tell Carrie anything without judgement or being given advice unwarranted -- only when she asks for it.
