Andi is an Angel from a reality where angels, demons, witches, spirits, and other supernatural creatures exist. Angels and demons are two species who have been in a millennia-long war, constantly fighting and disliking one another greatly. Neither is necessarily "good" or "bad," as there are members of each species with good or bad intentions. However, demonic energy is generally more destructive and harmful to humans and other creatures, while angelic energy is harmless and even positive.

Very early in his existence (1600’s?), there was a huge war between the demons and angels that caused a ton of destruction and revealed their widespread existence to earth. Before that, only a few people who knew a lot about the supernatural had known about their existance. Afterwards, they had some issues with different early governments, and there was a lot of fear amongst mankind. Eventually it got better though when people realized that it was mostly demons causing issues and mostly angels attempting to fight them off. Though of course there are good and bad apples in every group imaginable. Regardless, angels tended to be mostly the good side and demons the bad side in terms of harmful actions.

From that point on angels got more and more integrated into society, with buildings and many other things being adapted to be Angel-friendly. Though a few times a group of anti-magic witches, religious leaders, and others with powers against the supernatural started to cause angels harm through wards and other spells, with the people in power doing virtually nothing. But each time it ended up resolved, although magic users were something angels often had to look out for. Their main weaknesses were magic related and some demonic abilities, so oftentimes witches and other magic users caused them harm.

In general, angels tend to have some common powers, which were wielding an angelic weapon or tool of some sort (always appear to be glowing white and can be any kind of weapon or tool - swords, shields, knives, throwing stars, axes, scythes, bows and arrows, and even guns to prophetic things such as tarot cards or crystal ball, magic pens that can write things into existence, magical instruments, and more) which most often were used to expel demons to the demon dimension (oftentimes shortened to ‘hell’) which didn’t permanently kill them but put them out of commission for usually a long time - months or years or even decades or centuries. These weapons had no effect on humans and a range of limited effect on other supernatural beings such as other angels, ghosts, werewolves, vampires, etc.

Angels also can control light (create light to expel demons or use for other purposes) and assume a more humanlike form (make wings disappear and semi-normal looking eyes). Angels can also sense other beings within a certain radius of them and what type of being they are, as well as sense life forces and if someone is close to death. They also have invisibility, telekinesis, flight, enhanced strength, senses, and healing, can see invisible beings (including other angels), and are immune to overshadowing/possession. They are immortal (as in do not die of age, and only die completely in extreme situations where they are extremely injured). A lot of the time, like demons, they can teleport back to the Angel dimension (nicknamed ‘heaven’) before they get in too bad of a state and they can regenerate and heal in peace there.

Angels don’t have organs and therefore don’t need to eat, drink, or anything else that beings with organs do. They can regain energy by either being in heaven, eating angelic foods like ambrosia, nectar, bread and more, soaking up sunlight, or eating high amounts of sugar. These have a range of speeds/efficiencies, with being in heaven being the overall best and sunlight being the slowest and least useful. Angels also don’t have DNA, and they don’t reproduce like earth-dwellers do. However they do bleed a golden and glowing substance when injured (and demons bleed a similar pitch black substance) called ichor. If collected by humans this can be used to summon the Angel or demon against their wills or for other magical purposes. Ichor is pretty valuable to the right people so that’s part of the reason angels must be wary of magic users.

Angels and demons can put their personal protective mark/sigil on any other being. This can do a variety of things and can be used for a variety of purposes. Baseline, it connects their souls in some way. It can be permanent or temporary, one sided or mutual. Most often this is used as a way to signify to other angels and demons that a certain being is under an angels/demons protection, and also grants them some immunity to attacks from angels, demons, and other supernatural creatures, as well as allowing the Angel/demon to teleport to them at any time, but most likely if they’re in danger. In some cases, this bond can include telepathy and communication over long distances. However the mark can also be used in manipulative ways to control others or trap them under an angels/demons awareness. It all depends on the intentions when the mark is set, and the intentions of the Angel/demon applying it.

In a similar but not so invasive fashion, angels can also create objects out of light that can alert the Angel if touched or used a certain way (specified by the Angel at creation), and allow them to know the location and teleport there. This is often given to humans and other supernatural creatures under the angels protection so the Angel can quickly go to their side if they’re in danger, or need any kind of help. This object can be a whistle, a button of some sort, or any other object that can be interacted with including just by touch.

Angels all have at least one set of wings, which can be a range of sizes, shapes, types, and patterns. But one thing in common is they all have feathers of some variety. Also, all angels wings include white somewhere on them, but in addition can be a range of other colors and shades. Similarly, demons generally have draconic or scaly wings, and always have black on them in some capacity.

Angels can revert to a supercharged form in very special cases. In this form, they gain several sets of wings, glow very brightly, and have multiple glowing gold rings encircling their bodies and heads and blocking their eyes, though this doesn’t impair their vision. In this form they have enhanced abilities (often several times their usual power level) and often don’t speak, and are fueled by pure rage and protective tendencies. This often only lasts a few minutes, up to half an hour at most, and is most often used in the wars between the demons and angels. Or this can also be triggered if a being that an Angel has marked is in extreme danger or peril. Angels get very protective of their loved ones and even strangers that are in danger. But again, this only happens in very extreme situations. But it tends to be very scary for onlookers as the Angel they previously knew often acts very strange and often does terrifying things without remorse. In addition, when the Angel exits this state they often do not remember anything that happened and may be very confused, and even scared of themselves.

The Angel dimension is basically a dimension of floating islands in the clouds, that is always very bright and hard to look at to any beings except angels. Some angels live there and some move from there and earth periodically. It’s the safest place for angels given that only an Angel can create a portal to or teleport there (or other beings that an Angel allows to come through these methods). Angelic leaders are often there as well, who look out for angelkind’s best interests, monitor the dimension and who enters and leaves, distributes food and other objects, and overall run the society. There’s no form of money there, only bartering and giving of things. Especially since angels have few needs there since they don’t need to eat and can regain energy just by being there. There’s also ‘Angel training’ there which is basically getting newcomers up to speed about the connected dimensions and angelkind. Angels sometimes form in that dimension because of all the angelic energy available there, but they need a vessel to do so which can come in many forms. Most existing angels are hundreds or thousands of years old, but do not physically age.
