estella can be difficult to get along with. she becomes highly determined to complete any task that she puts her mind to. in doing this, she can neglect the needs of those around her. while she is a great planner, there is so much that she is unaware of since she rarely leaves where most opalescents live. even though she has great tactical skills, she can be hard to reach emotionally and rarely puts others before herself.
as estella spends more and more time with the people she parters up with, she becomes softer and more aware of what the people around her are thinking and feeling. while she will always be a little colder than others, she is much more accommodating and friendly than her fellow opalescents.
story
when estella becomes sick of being sent on survey tasks for opal, (despite the training and expertise she has in so many other fields), she makes a deal with her boss: if she can find a way to revitalize opal ahead of schedule, she will be transferred to the military wing of opal's government. she takes a few weeks off duty and travels outside of opal's borders to the woods, sure that they key to revitalization is kept somewhere on earth. the longer she spends looking for answers, the more she realizes she will need the help of others along the way.
