Design Notes

  • She was originally supposed to be Noel Noa's daughter but then I found out he was barely 31 so I changed them to be siblings.
  • I made her “op” intentionally like she was mostly a shit and giggles oc but I wanted to work more on her cus she’s pretty.
  • Her design was all over the place color-wise, originally she was supposed to have white and orange hair with dark skin. Then, she had the same skin tone but her hair was fully ginger.

  • (To Team blue lock) “I am Ei, last names and who I was before blue lock doesn’t matter. I’ve analyzed your previous games in the 3rd selection and personalized training and strategies we will go over together.”
Women’s U-20

Ei played for the Women's Japan’s U20 team during the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup as a Forward (NO. 9). She ended the world cup with endless awards under her name (FIFA Young Player Award, Golden Boot (9 goals), Player of the Match, and Goal of the Tournament (scored the winning goal of the final with a bicycle kick)

Pre Blue lock

After the victory of Japan's Women’s U-20 team, Ei stayed in Japan for her last year of high school. Managed the soccer team for Hakuho High School for a while. Until Ego contacted her and said something along the lines of: “Wasting her potential in that school.” Ego then asked her to join the Blue Lock project as a Manager.

3rd selection

Around the end of the arc Ei gets finally introduced as just the manager for the time being, she's there to make sure everyone pushes their limits and focuses more on the personal needs of the starter players. Ei to the players is more of a mysterious figure, they don't know her last name or what she did before coming to Blue Lock. All they know is that she is skilled enough to be recommended by Ego to assist such an important match. She analyzed all eleven players and was quick to notice their weaknesses, and how to have them shine in the match. Ego focused on the bigger picture of Blue Lock while Ei focused on individual players.

Neo Egoist League

She originally wanted to manage FC Barcha since she was close to Lavinho and wanted to practice her Portuguese. However, after being informed by Ego that she NEEDS to manage Bastard München, no matter who of Blue Lock joined… she knew something unpleasant was coming. Getting a pep talk from her brother about leaving the professional scene of soccer to move to Japan for “studies” and instead becoming a manager? FOR BLUE LOCK? That is run by his old rival?! He couldn't believe his sister would do that. (They made up fairly quickly though.) Instead of having a heartfelt reunion, they argued in a mix of French, German, and English (more like Ei yelled at his face while Noel remained calm) about each other's presence on blue lock. It wasn't until Ness offered Ei the in-ear translator that they noticed they needed to keep up an image, they’ll argue more later. Finally, Ei gets officially introduced as last year's Women's World Cup winner, Controller of the field, and most importantly, Noel Noa’s little sister.

TLDR

  • Ei is a French player who played for the Women Japan’s U20 team, with endless awards under her name (FIFA Young Player Award, Golden Boot, Player of the Match, and Goal of the Tournament)

Noel Noa Older Brother

Ever since Ei was born, she stuck by Noel’s side. Noel would sometimes eat less so Ei could eat. As they grew older, Ei would always share her food with Noel, no matter what it was. Noel is the closes thing Ei has to a father figure, their big age difference and Noel’s big rise in the soccer world guaranteed a good future for Ei. Noel took care of Ei the best he could, but as he started to get better offers in soccer he just wouldn't jeopardize his position. This led to a lot of arguing between the sibling, the more offers either of them got… the more they argued. The last straw was when Ei took the offer to play for Japan’s U20 team without consulting with Noel. She told him the day before and, even though he was mad, he couldn't argue with her. He was tired and knew that this was an opportunity of a lifetime. Guaranteed spot for the U20 world cup? As a striker? What kind of brother would he be to deny her of her dream?

Nobody seemed to notice the soft spot Ego had for Ei, not even herself. She had known Ego from a young age thanks to her older brother. Ego and Ei are close enough for him to recommend her for the position of manager, such an important game around the corner. The only time his soft spot for Ei is ever displayed is when he pats her head after the U20 game.

Isagi Yoichi Love Interest

Isagi’s first impression of Ei was that she was very familiar, he had seen her before but he couldn't put his finger on where or when. He just knew she must be really good if she was entrusted by Ego with the responsibility of managing Blue Lock 11. Ei first saw Isagi in the 3rd selection, his goal peaked her interest. Ego disregarded Isagi, saying he wasn't sure if to make him a starter or a sub. Ei skillfully analyzed the play in front of Ego’s face, basically taking over his seat and explaining why Isagi was the best match-up with Rin. Ego knew this, he just wanted to test Ei and see why Isagi had caught her attention so much. Isagi found himself always looking for Ei’s praise and advice daily. Ei didn't mind, it was her job after all… right? (Isagi fell first but Ei fell harder)

Nagi Seishiro Best Friend

Meet Nagi in a game of Valorant, recognizing that they went to the same school when Nagi started to complain about Reo. Ei avoided Nagi like the plague in school though, she knew who he was but he didn't even know what Ei looked like. Her username is the most random shit known to man. It wasn't until Reo started to complain about this girl from a higher grade than them that would space out playing games on her phone. After obtaining this info, Nagi hunted down this mysterious girl. He found her standing in front of a vending machine playing a gacha game on her phone. Looking over her shoulder he noticed it was the same game Ei had on her profile pictures in her socials… everywhere. Atlas, their friendship began. At first, it was just the two of them talking about video games while Reo listened. Until Ei joined a conversation they were having about soccer. After that day the three of them became inseparable.
