Gray Banded Agate, or Agate, has a MOHS hardness of 6.5 and a density of 2.60. he has a formation of orange topaz for an arm with a MOHS hardness of 8 and a density of 3.60. He typically wears an altered version of the standard winter uniform, with no left sleeve to make room for his altered arm. He does not wear a tie and wears a choker type band under his collar instead. He wears standard black shoes and short black socks.
PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION
Agate has a quiet and more introverted personality and he doesnt speak much to all the other gems. The other gems find him intimidating with his unreadable face and abnormal arm and don't quite know how to talk to him so he ends up spending most of his time alone. The exception to not talking to many gems is that he frequently spends his days with pink rhondonite and they have bonded well as friends over patrols.

TRIVIA
He has a fear of water! ever since he was young he has avoided water at all costs and will refuse to patrol the beaches because of it. He is embarassed about this though and doesnt tell anyone, the only people that know are sensei and Pink Rhodonite.
Even though he has a seemingly cold and stoic personality, Grey Agate is very fond of animals and bugs and will let a more soft side out when noone is looking. He will often get distracted on patrols looking at butterflies and bugs. Because of his fondness of bugs he knows a lot about the specimens around the island and will often help find and document the different types with other gems.
Grey Agate gains his purpose from fighting and protecting other gems from the Lunarians. He has saved and protected others on seperate patrols on many occasions and even though he doesnt speak to them feels somewhat connected to the others and obligated to help others who are not as skilled as him.
PRE-BREAK
Was still quiet but more sociable in early years, only did patrols, small fights and helped with odd jobs, but didnt have much purpose. In this time, he had longer hair and his arm was still intact. His closest friend and partner was Labradorite and they spent most of their time together. Many memories from this era have been lost and he doesnt remember much.
BREAK
During a patrol with Labradorite, a Lunarian vessel unexpectedly came and ambushed them. They attempted to fight back but were both shattered. Grey Agates arm, chest, and hair were taken before he and Lab were rescued. After he was placed back together by Star Sapphire, due to the loss of his arm and the trauma of the incident, he lost all memory of what happened and lost many memories from his past. POST-BREAK (CURRENT)
After the 'break' Grey Agate was made a replacement arm piece out of a less refined Orange Topaz formation by Star Sapphire. Driven by a hatred for his new arm and short hair, he took up fighting and started to use his arm as a weapon to fend off the lunarians. He fights in hopes of getting his arm back from the Lunarians and leading a normal life again. Nowdays they spend their days quietly patrolling, fighting alone, and researching bugs, occasionally spending time with Lab or Rhondonite.
STRENGTHS
His topaz arm is less refined than his gem body and therefore cant be chipped down into a normal arm shape, in fear that the inclusions could deteriorate. Because of this, his orange topaz arm has been forged into a sharp weapon for use against the lunarians instead.
Grey Agate is incredibly intelligent and he is great at adapting to his situation. When fighting the lunarian vessels he is excellent at imrovising on the fly, which is crucial when a new weapon is used against him.
His short-term memory is very good and he often helps report new types of lunarians and document them. He is capable of remembering many details in a short battle and retaining them for documentation later.
WEAKNESSES
Due to his arm being made of topaz with a MOHs Hardness of 8 and his body being made of agate, with a hardness of 6.5; He is at high risk of breaking during fights, due to the force of his arm as a weapon on his body. He has to hold back when he fights in fear of breaking his body, due to this he wishes his MOHs level was higher.
He is often highly impatient and doesnt work well in groups when fighting, and that is why he refuses to partner up to fight. This is an issue since he is at higher risk when he fights alone because of the strain of his arm on his body.
His topaz arm is much larger, harder, and denser than his agate body so his agility is much lower compared to some of the other gems fighting styles. His quick wits aid him in this field but he is still at risk becuase of the speed of the lunarians. He has also had to strengthen and exercise his back and shoulders to help hold the weight of the topaz.

IMPRESSION
Pink Rhodonite is Grey Agates patrolling partner. They have a much more excitable personality and lots their legs to the lunarians too.
Gray Agate and Pink Rhodonite were paired up after they lost their legs. Grey Agate originally disliked Pink Rhodonite but he grew fond of mentoring and taking care of him and they grew into close friends. Their personalities are completely different, yet, they seem to get along.

Labradorites narcissistic and polar personality makes their relationship mixed, as well as Grey Agate having lost his memories of their childhood together. Lab always tries to keep him close and keep their relationship steady despite their guilt and jealousy. They both still patrol together or with Pink Rhondonite sometimes.
