🥨Neeru

A mantis-based Hima who has devoted herself to the art of theatre, as well as preserving the oceans. Also referred to as the mistress of the old mansion by the side of the stream.

Neeru is a childlike, cheerful Hima who adores adorning the mansion and theater she inherited from her human family with flowers and seashells. However, her demeanor can be rather stern when commanding her staff, though she loves them all very much and cares for them dearly. The lady loves guests and always gifts handcrafted masks to everybody who comes into her humble abode as a warm gesture of welcoming, and as a sign to other Himas and people to respect the person carrying their gift. Those who harm her servants, actively go against the positive moral values Himas stand for, disrespect the delicate ocean ecosystems and express desire to harm other people or creatures end up having their mask shattered, as one of Neeru's skills is to apply pressure onto any object made of non-organic material. The masks become cursed, rendering the person carrying them unable to take them off until they've gotten far away from the islands. The person usually remains unharmed, yet it serves as a sign to everybody else of their true nature. To others Neeru gifts flowers or jewels and invites them to feast among her and her servants, offering advice or help whether it's healing wounds or enchanting small objects. She sometimes holds performances in the abandoned theater that was once dedicated to her, which she frequently renovates.

• her magic is moreso gentle than harmful - she mainly heals locals and visitors alike, occassionally enchanting items in various ways. most blessings intend to help the bearer in some ways, but as a child she used to enchant her parents' belongings to fly around the beach or always slip away from their grasp.
• while she possesses the ability to apply pressure onto non-organic objects, she refuses to use it as Himas are strongly against harming others. neeru finds smaller objects easier to control.
• the name Neeru means 'the shining light', whilst her surname Hawea stands for 'peacekeeper'
• she'd probably listen to Lady Gaga and Maroon 5 tbh
