Alexander Buckley

Going by the nickname “Buck” or “Buckley”, he is my personal reinterpretation of The Batter from OFF by Mortis Ghost. He is part of a larger AU I am working on building! He comes with his characteristic big buck teeth, earrings, and corset.

He is a single dad with joint custody over his son, Hugo. He is also a Major League player for the New York Mets, a career he is very passionate about and is incredibly good at. While his job makes him significantly absent in Hugo’s life, he does his very best to make the most of the time they have together, especially now that Hugo’s illness is getting worse and has him in continuous hospital care. Buckley is almost always seen wearing a corset that helps with a spinal injury he acquired.

Though he may appear to be a quiet, self contained and sometimes intimidating individual, he is genuinely a giant teddy bear with a soft spot for his son and passions. He is a hopeless romantic though doesn’t like to talk about his previous relationships, especially Hugo’s mother. A fairly docile person, he develops more of a temper as Hugo’s condition gets worse and is known to bottle his emotions until he snaps and overreacts to the situation that sets him off.
