At some point during their friendship, Abel jokingly asked Mirella if her name was really Sawyer, as a play on their alias Sawtooth. Mirella, ever one for a good joke, told him completely seriously that he was right, and that he would have to keep it a secret. Believing her, Abel would then go on to refer to them as Sawyer until learning her true name.

One particular day with Abel made Mirella fully realize how much she actually cares for her life, and the time that she wants to spend with him. Towards the conclusion of a scouting mission, Mirella made a mistake that led to her being horribly injured, leaving her trapped in a collapsing building full of War Keepers. She was initially ready to accept this outcome, as this is the understanding that comes with her line of work, but quickly reconsidered upon hearing Abel's panicked yelling over their comms. He would then go on to save her and himself in the process, though only after narrowly escaping himself. Following the escape, Mirella, overwhelmed with their own adrenaline, kissed Abel where they both stood (which, thankfully enough, was reciprocated!).

That is to say, when they "ran" into each other, it was more of Erno ambushing Mirella in a way. Mirella was on a scavenging mission in an abandoned building, overrun by War Keepers; active -and hostile- robots from a time long past that are trained to attack anyone who's face is exposed to them. When Erno arrived, in Mirella's confusion, he forced them into a corner and he was able to attach a conductor to her helmet, causing it to rapidly heat up while she was wearing it. Mirella tried to stand her ground and withstand the pain, especially because War Keepers were present, but it eventually became too much, and she yelled at Erno to remove her helmet for her. Briefly shielded from the War Keepers, Erno told them that if they told him their real name, he'd hold off on killing them until their THIRD meeting. Mirella lied to him and he could tell, so in his frustration, he shoved Mirella to the ground so that the War Keepers would trigger and notice both of them.

This incident led to many more, gradully raising in intensity and severity. To Mirella's understanding, Erno is an insane individual who is now obsessed with her and the idea of keeping her at his side because of how she abandoned him the day that they met. He's very manipulative, and all it takes is for Erno to involve those that Mirella is close with for her to cave. He has certainly taken a toll on Mirella's psyche, more than she's comfortable admitting.

Thankfully, Mirella did eventually turn things around on Erno (rather sadistically) and they were able to turn him back in. While they had hoped that this would be the end of their relationship and ever having to see him again, she instead had to watch him be turned into bait for scouting communities, used to trigger War Keepers during scavenging missions. Against her better judgement, she started to feel bad for him, and found herself so confused as to why she would feel that way after everything he put her through.

Now, Mirella continues to be hounded by his presence- literally. Erno has once again escaped his confinement, and has tracked down Mirella once again... But now, he's missing his memories, and only has key details, especially revolving around a certain repeating figure.

Mirella's interest in Waye piqued when they met him for the first time; she had once heard of Waye before, and his reputation of being a "master negotiator"- it's said that Waye has never made a deal with someone where he's gotten the shorter end of the bargain. This made Mirella curious, and she decided to go see for herself what this mysterious man was like. Upon meeting, Mirella made her thoughts very clear from the get-go: she wasn't like everyone else, he'd have to try *much* harder to get her to agree to something without the rewards being perfectly even on both sides. Unfortunately for Mirella, she wouldn't realize for much later into their relationship that he most definitely duped her in the first deal they made.

For as much as Mirella likes to rile him up, she does have to admit that Waye does seem to have good intentions with Xylem, and they understand why everyone holds him in high regard; despite the fact that it can often be a front, he can be quite amicable and sociable with others when need be (then again, that's where so much of the fun comes from for Mirella- she loves to break a good composure). She knows that she's likely very lucky that Waye continues to see her at all with all the mischief she causes, but as she would say in her defense, she's never turned down a job from him.

The last of Mirella's issues with Waye all stem from her personal problems; she considers Waye a smartass, and she can become quite frustrated when he purposefully flaunts his intelligence around her. To be honest, a lot of Mirella's qualms are likely just made up so that they can justify wanting to piss him off all the time; they could call him full of himself, arrogant, it would never end. However, at the end of the day, all Mirella cares about is being dragged into his bedroom for awhile.
