Bogwhistle is a traveling healer who ends up in a quiet town and gets roped up into more than she bargained for by a mysterious vulture-like cat who begins using her for ulterior motives. She starts out calm, sweet, and a little bit of a push-over. Over the course of the story she grows angrier and angrier as a result of injustices, though her kindness never wavers.
