Masque

A gilded creature that can be found at rizty parties, seemingly judging the nature of the superficial smiles, the forced laughter, and the sparks that are forged in the haste and haze of festivity. Even though those at the events it visits, or even is invited to all smile, their face remains the same: stoic, knowing, understanding that all that glitters is not gold. Some say they once were a spirit of festivity and connections, one who also danced alongside those who had invited it- but over time, after being dragged to increasingly shallow events by those with the power to do so, all that remains of their former jubilance is whatever lurks beneath the mask covering their innate emotions.
