Having survived the collapse and destruction of old Homeworld by being away at the time, Death Knell Pearl continues to live on within the shadows of this... "rejuvenated" Homeworld. She belongs to no singular Diamond, acting on the will of any and all Gems who know of and ask for her services. Her only exception for targets is other Diamonds, as they are the one Gem type she was never allowed to shatter before.
Though she outwardly remains aloof, Death Knell Pearl is grieving on the inside. Grieving the halls she used to roam, the Diamonds, and any friends she'd made. It's a strange cocktail mix of emotions for a gem that's seen so many shatterings; she rarely shares or expresses those feelings outside of fellow survivors.
When asked, she claims to be from Rubberhose Court, but in truth she's unaffiliated and Rubberhose Diamond is too scared of her to correct this.
