once the chosen guardian of his hometown deity and also watched a loved one die horribly serving as a vessel - his story differs when he absorbed the surviving remains of his god in a panic. he never chose to be a vessel, never volunteered for the role in any meaningful way, and was always quite resentful of the deity for possessing his loved one to begin with. instead of letting the god settle into his body and integrate with his spirit, something goes wrong and he accidentally overpowers it. and then he's like, you know what, it's not fair of the gods to do this to us. it's not fair to give up your whole life, before you're old enough to make your own choices. MIGHT AS WELL CONSUME ALL THE GODS. ALL OF THEM!!!!!! a quest which is having some very interesting effects on his body + honestly it's hard to tell how much of him is still Himself but what does that even mean and does it even matter? we all deal with grief in our own ways okay
