Tera is a bit of an oddity. 

He used to be a human botanist, nature lover, and proud owner of a rat named Rhea. He had a sister named Bethany, or Bit as she usually went by, and presumably at one point a father, although he didn't remember him much.

And he also had a secret place. Well, not that he worked to keep it a secret, people were just never around for some reason. It was a city, abandoned for what was probably decades, skyscrapers covered in sprawling vines, canals full of fish and water lilies, unusual urban art, and most surprising, a handkerchief that belonged to his Dad. And the he remembered.

No, this city hasn't been abandoned for years, and in fact his Dad (who definitely did NOT die when Tera was young) lived in one of those apartments as of last week. He sent some confused texts to Bit about the whole thing before going home and having a nice rest.

When he woke up the next morning, he found himself inside his cell phone as some kind of doglike creature. Because it turns out the street art was actually a being that consists entirely of information and taking a picture of it pulled it inside his phone.

Also his sister is Very Concerned about several of these developments.
