Pyrite

Description

Pyrite is a small gem. He wears yellow flannel, brown pants, shoes, and suspenders. His brown hair is frazzled and wild - just like his attitude. Generally, he's very laid back, unless pushed. When pushed, he becomes moody and grumpy and less inclined to share any feelings. Pyrite tends to speak before he thinks, and this talkative attitude has landed him in trouble more than once.

History

Some 5,000 years ago, Pyrite was created to help slow the decay of Champagne Diamond's planet, Ios, as a result of gem production. Life was easy. Too easy. Boredom ensued, and Pyrite desired a friend. So, he experimented a little too much, resulting in a giant, hungry, omnivorous plant monster that nearly poofed him and his sisters had it not been for Snowflake Obsidian's intervention. Awed, Pyrite slowly fell for Snowflake, and they soon escaped Ios for Earth, permafused as Bumblebee Agate.
