a prince from the ocean - he's always had a craving for adventuring but being royalty... it's always been denied. they had knights and adventurers for hire to get whatever he needed, there was no need for him to leave and put himself in danger.

but Marin wanted the danger and the adrenaline from an adventure! he couldn't stand being locked away in a deep sea castle all day long! 

so he snuck in land and carefully slipped onto leta's ship when it was docked for the night - stowing himself away until finally he got caught in their food storage. after some begging towards the captain, she let him stay. because leta could understand not wanting to go back to a place that didn't let you explore the life you wanted.

they have a cover story that he's been "kidnapped" should anyone notice the underwater prince. though this causes some issues - the crew doesn't mind a fight every now and again.
