Hiding her true self behind a mask both physically and figuratively, Bunna'by doesn't like to show her face to those she doesn't know and trust. Even the Scions weren't privy to the face behind the mask until after the assault on the Waking Sands, and she still finds it difficult to open up to them. She uses a flirtatious approach in most situations, manipulating people in her favor whenever the need arises. If that fails, Bunna'by's mask gives way to a cold, impatient demeanor, becoming far more demanding and brash.
Gil is king. Bunna'by will do just about anything for the right price. She saves to secure luxurious future where she has the monetary power to erase her past completely.
The first to truly break through Bunna'by's walls is Haurchefant. His genuine, forthcoming desire for her took Bunna'by by surprise, and she initially resisted his advances. It was easy to flirt with those who sought her out of pure lust, but Haurchefant's feelings were clearly beyond something so simple. By the time they take refuge in House Fortemps in Ishgard, Bunna'by has allowed herself to be vulnerable and open with Haurchefant in private.
