During the time of the ancients Strength Through Cooperation was close to her city’s officials. She took on The Great Problem with an almost militant vigour, not lessening her efforts at all with the global ascension. Out of, who knows her exact reasoning? Loyalty, it simply being what she is supposed to do? These are reasons she would have given if asked. Beneath all of it was the same place from which most of the little animals on the ground’s choices all stem. Strength was deeply terrified of the thought of death, of shutting down without the chance to meet her beloved councils again in wherever they left her to go.
Experimenting with Sliverist ideas came late in her studies- not on herself at first, gods no- but a poorly timed power failure warped her creation into something sinister. Her task was now time limited.
Not that Strength would give up so easily..! The methods she chose were.. drastic, but so fearful of the corrosion she saw herself as having no other choice.
Strength had been constructed as a sort of centre of collaboration, even if she refused to actually work with any of her neighbours. This meant a robust capacity for broadcast- and to access her neighbour’s processing through this broadcast. Spiral of the Swarm was already weak. They wouldn’t mind this, would they?
Things snowballed, with Strength, or Spiral, noticing that this extra processing power was excellent for her task. So Candle fell, and Seed. And the rest. Aside from the rot-infested ruin at the centre, the local group seems in surprisingly good condition from the outside.
