Bernadette

Bernadette lives in an old victoria-era house on the edge of town with her grandmother, Magnolia.  She moved in with her just after her 18th birthday, when her parents both became full-time commercial pilots and were barely at home.  The entire upstairs & attic portion of the house belongs to her now!

In her spare time, Berny enjoys birdwatching, reading & writing, photography, and virtual pet games.  She's also an avid beekeeper and takes care of her grandma's beehives in their backyard, harvesting the honey to keep as gifts or sell at farmers' markets.  

Berny met Raymond almost immediately after moving in.  She says he's welcome to stay in her portion of the house if he'd rather live there and not in an old rundown house.  He sort of becomes her roommate-- staying in the attic sometimes and in the rundown house at other times.  Raymond is the first friend she's had in a long time, especially since moving away from her parents' house, so she feels a special bond with him and the two become almost inseparable.
