Txayo was born in the Uniltxukx clan. A clan that lives deep underwater. How they do this? Well they raise Gill Mantles, a type of sea creature that lets you breath underwater if you make a bond with them. When the deep sea Navi are born, they are given a Gill Mantle. The Gill Mantle is a huge part of their lives as they are the reason they can live so deep underwater. But if something were to happen, and the Gill Mantle dies, then the Navi is forced to the surface to find a new home. The clan believes in bonding with only ONE Gill Mantle your whole life.

This is what happened with Txayo. He was away from home and close to the surface when he was shot with and arrow from a human. The arrow luckily didnt pierce him, but it did his Gill Mantle and it devastatingly passed on. This was when his life changed forever. He was the one that was supposed to take over his clan, but now he cant to that. His father always warned him about the humans hunting, but he didnt listen and that was a grave mistake.

Now he lives with the Metkayina people. At first he was nervous, thinking that they would think him a freak, but they actually admired his looks cause its very rare you see one of these Navi out of water.

Txayo has a crush on a girl named Sumyiei who lives in the clan and is always hanging around Atawila. He wants to talk to her, but he doesnt feel like he can get close
