Jynx Goldenpaw was orphaned near the end of Vuzun’s war. Her biological parents neglected her severely; Jynx does not consider them to be her real family. After their deaths, she ended up at the Fallholt Monastery, determined to become an adventurer. While there, she met Seraphina Goldenpaw. The older tabaxi quickly took a liking to her and began to visit often, training with Jynx one-on-one. The two formed a very close bond and Seraphina eventually adopted Jynx, inviting her to live at her home in Doveport. Jynx happily accepted the offer and considers Seraphina to be her true mother, taking her last name as her own. They are extremely close and love each other fiercely.

Jynx also considers the rest of The Bad Dragons to be her family. She is especially close with Hope Stormfoumd and her adopted son Elias.

Elias is Jynx’s best friend. They have a very strong bond and are practically joined at the hip most days. Jynx is extremely protective of Elias and loves spending time with him. They can often be found in the garden together, getting up to mischief. She believes Elias to be her platonic soulmate and she can’t imagine life without him.

Jynx’s goal is to become a powerful adventurer like her mom. She loves to fight and every battle is a performance, allowing her to use bardic magic along with her physical attacks. She’s a bit of an adrenaline junkie and likes to get into scuffles for fun. When she’s not fighting, she likes to garden with Seraphina, hang out with Elias, or use Hope’s telescope to look at the stars.
