Barney is an enigmatic creature who serves the operator.
He has worked for him as long as anyone can remember, but is scarcely seen in person. He seems to exist right on the brink of commotion, managing to slip and out as the situation pleases. This ability to fade into obscurity serves him well; he traverses the dark treetops with ease, able to camouflage into foliage and lay hidden for hours until time strikes.
In another life, he was an averge man; but a weakened demon has since taken interest in his body, taking over it while she bides her time. The amount of control he has over himself is dubious, and feels as though his mind as melded with Holly's.

- • He tends to ignore people, so it is usually Holly that does most of the talking. When he does speak, it is curt, sharp and pokes at low jabs to irriate the other party. Holly on the other side, has an eerie manner of communicating, telling fortunes and intimidating others.
