  • Name: Space-E.I.
  •  Pronouns: She/Her (default),  El/Els (Prefered), Zi/Zims
  • Gender: Spacegirl
  • Species: Half Starborn half Earthborn/human
  • Age: 13-14 in Martian/Space years, 23 in earth years
  • Extra: Els very autistic and somewhat ADHD although the ADHD is mainly due to her space brained nature. Els always making connections to "other stars in her mind" rather than the one el has in front of her (edited)

    • Story:

She was born on Mars sometime in the 1980s, a descendant of the people from the Big Star (ship/Asteroid) that brought their kind to mars a long time ago. Her father was an immigrant from Earth but her biological mother was a Starborn. She disappeared shortly after els birth and els father refuses to talk about her whenever asked. He doesn't keep any pictures, although el has found one worn out picture that el keeps in her hidden pockets that she assumes is her mother. she knows if her father found out he'd freak out and force her to throw it away if it was her tho, so el keeps it a secret.   When she was about 13/22 her family decided to apply with their government to relocate to earth for a better living situation, due to els neighborhood becoming more run down and put into poverty. She stayed with her neglectful, workaholic father and other family members on the ship (her ailing toxic stepmother, her very little brother, and her slightly younger half-android sibling/ "sister"). They stayed there for about 3-5 months until a spot on earth opened up for them and then they moved into their new house in the midwestern USA. Probably around where ohio would've been.

She'd always been a little out of it compared to the rest of her family, since both els brother and sister sibling were born from her earth born step mother and immigrant raised father. She was the only starborn in her family and they really didn't like that. They always treated her differently. They were short with her, and made quips at els expense. Her sibling tried to cheer el up but especially after becoming half android they didn't really have the capacity to understand how to help in that situation since they were vunerable too. El always makes sure to stick up for their siblings and what few friends el makes whenever possible tho. Even if those are usually animals, inanimate objects, or plants. El very much has hyper empathy. This has caused problems since coming to earth

part 2 They have realized that not being around any other starborns has made for a really rough adjustment period. Most other people her age are either younger than her physically or older than her mentally. It's a really confusing place to be at and she has taken to just trying to befriend anyone she thinks seems friendly. Which gets el into a lot of sticky situations, especially on public transit.  Because of all her social problems and stress, She started therapy with a therapist who grew up in a half martian, (possibly starborn but we aren't sure yet) household so she helps Space-E.I. realize a lot about herself and that she just needs to aproach this world a lot differently.

She also suggests getting a service dog pretrained to help with autism and other neurodiveristies. She convinces her parents an since they don't really care about her and they have plenty of government money on top of her fathers job they approve and Space-E.I. find one with the help of her therapist. It goes really well and he becomes a needed part of her everyday life. His name is Rover.  Space-E.I. also has a lot of encouters with bullies whenever she enrolls in school again since her education was cut short due to the move. She's put into the special ed program which has a few programs "tailored" to space transfer students but it's really just poorly disguised ABA therapy and she HATES it. El does find one teacher in the side program to help counter teach all the horrible things they teach and tell her what she really should be learning and goes to her after class every day and during lunch to explain what was taught and have it be bassically untaught by this one kind teacher. She's the home ec and band teacher and gets a lot of students from other programs stopping by occasionally to say hi so she has a lot of patience
