Geneve

"Wow.. the smog is so much! But that makes the city a lot more interesting!"

Take a stroll in Hammersmith, during the afternoon where the factories worked at full power. Look up into the sky once in a while, aside from the light smog, you may see a gliding figure in the sky!

Geneve, an unusual choice for the type of job shes doing. Flowing hair that keeps blocking her vision, ragged clothing, but as much as she is timid, she is a dedicated girl and enjoys her job. Hoping to see every corner of the city she lives next to, and wanting to see the great beyond. She takes on this job to build her social skills and confidence.

Background

Geneve does not come from a wealthy background, she lived in a small village just outside Hammersmith, her mother and father worked long hours, her father as a chimney sweeper, and her mother as a teacher for public schools. They did not earn much money but it was enough to keep them by smoothly. Geneve was timid, too nervous to make friends so the other children in the village avoided her. She was spooked easily, making her a target for bullies.

Geneves mother educated her when she was free, but Geneve was a quick learner, managing to read and write in under 2 weeks. This resulted in Geneve being a bookworm, reading two storybooks and a history book that so happened to be in the storage room in her small house. Geneve had a strong bond with her mother, but not so much her father, as she rarely saw him.

Despite living her life without issue, she wanted to improve her social skills, and also help bring in extra cash so she could save and visit her brother. To see the world beyond the village would be a dream come true. This idea came from a wolf she befriended one day as a kid, the wolf had a family of its own, but it would visit Geneve for food and to play, quickly the wolf struck up a strong bond with the girl. Her mother heavily disliked the idea of any sort of pets, so Geneve visited the wolfs family when her mother worked.

Her brother had saved and travelled to the city of Harmony Heights to use his talents as a playwright to share his work, it succeeded but he abandoned his family completely, but no matter what, Geneve couldn't stop loving her brother, believing he would come back one day.

She scored a job as a food delivery girl, her employer gave her a mechanical glider, a hat and strange goggles and a few quick words about her job. But it was more than enough to start. The city of Hammersmith was truly beautiful to her, in the faint smog in the sky, the outlines of airships rose from the factories, ready to be tested.

Part of her job involved dashing ontop of tall buildings, using her glider from time to time to rest her legs, and to smoothly land from high places. Her strange goggles helped her to deliver the food to the right destination, and back to her employer.

She had noticed that the city people looked at her strangely, upon seeing her ripped and patchy clothing and unkept hair. She had not been very mindful of her appearance, but she disliked the fact she would get called names right in front of her. The city people thought peasants who lived on the outskirts of the city couldn't read or write, or even speak their language. But Geneve kept her head down and focused on her work, it helped her a lot more as she soon forgets about it, as her job made her happy and fulfilled her wish.
