Onoma is a quiet Thaumaturge in the village, they've welcomed any fellow refugees from the taint disaster into their home but don't tend to talk much. Strangely enough, they never seem to take their mask off.

Onoma is of minor eldritch origin. While researching Thaumaturgy, they stumbled upon the existence of The Outer Lands 
at some point. With the help of a small group of Thaumaturges they were acquainted with they managed to travel to this dimension, but not without disastrous consequences. To exit with their life they traded their face and name, the other however were not so lucky and were erased from existence.

At some later point, when trying to find a way to make it back to The Outer Lands to recover the existences of the other Thaumaturges, the magic backfired and caused a taint outbreak in the town. They helped people evacuate and fleed by themself. They ended up meeting other refugees and forms the village with them.

'Advice of the dead' refers to the dead Thaumaturges.
"Honey, I'm home!" because Onoma is Eldritch in origin.
The vivisection is them making a deal with the entity that then took their face (and name).

- 'Onoma' is the Ancient Greek word for name.
- The witch hazel on their leg symbolises 'a spell'.
