Inkblot, whose special talent is broadly design, moved from the Crystal Empire to Canterlot after the Crystal Heart was restored to the empire. They’re prone to nerves and flip flop between overconfidence in their work to deep self criticism. They are deeply passionate about art, and hope to share the Empire’s creative history with the rest of equestria.
In my canon, Crystal ponies can chip or even shatter and require specialist care to fix - something that’s hard to come by outside of the empire. Therefore, Ink’s nerves are not entirely unjustified.
