Ezra

Teasingly called “emotionally constipated” by his brother before they abruptly parted ways, Ezra always had difficulty expressing himself, whether through words or feelings. His relationships with others, even those he is closest to, are fraught with distance and a coldness that is completely unintentional. The man’s heart isn’t made of iron; he does care, but he flounders when expected to show it. Ezra is kind and cordial in demeanor always, but is so sheepishly awkward, it may feel forced. However, he clings to those close relationships he has with surprising ferocity, and disrupting the idealistic view he has of another has—and will continue to have—devastating consequences. Considering such a view ruined both his close relationship with his brother and former lover, Ezra is aware of this fatal flaw of his, but finds himself unable to change it.

History

Troubled by the blood pact he unwittingly made with Khaxdros, God of Eyes, Sight, and Perception, as a child, Ezra finds himself holding more power than he can bear as he not only has the institution of magic upon his shoulders, but the fate of the world as a whole. The lull of power promised by the progenitor draws Ezra to him even as Khaxdros remains in a weakened state, but the pull to do good as put forth by his former flame, Severin Markov, has him at a crossroads. It is only through desperation, provoked by a sudden betrayal, does Ezra make his decision, aiding Khaxdros in his impending destruction of the world by weakening the barrier of the Ceaseless Realm—the realm of the gods—to bring it down upon humanity.

- Trauma and stress from Khaxdros as a boy turned his hair white. 

- Ezra is very particular about his sleep and doesn't like to be disturbed, ensuring he always gets a full eight hours no matter what. It's why he's late to everything. 

- He's very, very fond of animals. He calls his cat, Tallulah, his soulmate, and once left a very important conference meeting to pet a dog. 

- He gravitates to people's warmth—physically, not emotionally—and it is this desire for closeness that has caused him to end up in many, many beds.  

- His greatest motivation, at the moment, is finding the whereabouts of his brother, Leo, and reconnecting with him.

- Due to Ezra being taller, people tend to confuse him for being the older brother. Though he never pushed his brother's buttons, Ezra wouldn't deny he liked seeing Leo get infuriated each time the mistake was made.
