FREE ART (for my comic)

I have an ongoing webcomic on Webtoon (available here: LINK!) and I’m always in need of some background characters / extras for crowd shots, so I figured I’d make a post for folks to submit their own original characters for the chance of them being included in a page (100% for free of course).  You will be credited for their inclusion, and you may also post the panel(s) they are in on your character’s page if you’d like, but you have to be okay with the following before you submit:

1: These characters will only be background characters, meaning they won’t play any major role in the story nor will they ever speak.  You also don’t get too much of a say in where they are placed within the story (though you are free to make a request, I just might not listen).  This means that they might be given an undesirable role, such as a prisoner, an enemy grunt, or even as death fodder (you may specify whether or not I am allowed to kill off your character in your submission, but if you do not specify, I will assume that you don’t mind).

2: Although the character itself still belongs to you, the page as a whole in which they appear is entirely mine, and it might be used for promotional purposes.  Also, my goal with the comic is to eventually get it published, so you have to be okay with the art including your character being used for monetary gain, though again, this does not mean that I have any right to use your character for anything other than an extra in a scene.  At least, not without your explicit permission.

3: The design of your character may be subject to slight modification depending on the setting I decide to put them in, though this will usually only mean a change of clothes.  The comic takes place in a medieval fantasy setting, so races outside of the ones listed here might not be chosen (or more drastic changes might be made to make them blend in with a crowd): humans, elves, nymphs, satyrs, giants, centaurs, fairies, unicorn-born, demons, goblins, orcs, lionfolk, and dragon-born (check out this folder for more information on the general appearance of these races within the story, and subsequently, what I may edit your character to more closely adhere to: LINK ).  You may also submit non-humanoid characters, though it is much less likely that I will use them unless they are common forest animals like birds or rodents.

If you’re cool with all that, then just fill out this form and leave a comment!  You may submit as many characters as you would like (I need A LOT of background characters, so the more the merrier honestly!)

If I end up using your character, I will notify you and send you a high-res image of the panel they are in for your own use :3

2: Character’s race / preferred race

3: Reference sheet / link to character’s TH page

4: Brief description of personality

5: Do I have permission to kill off this character (yes/no)

6: How should I credit you?  TH username, Twitter, Instagram, etc.  (Pick just one)  Also please list your preferred name and pronouns here if you’re comfortable with that.

7: Extras (character’s preferred style (feminine/masculine/androgynous), important details, anything I’m not allowed to change about your character, etc.)
