energon vampire

echo is a cybertronian afflicted by a bite of an energon vampire, and as the curse goes, has devolved into the same kind of creature. his most notable changes are new fangs, paled-out colors, and of course all the powers and needs of the usual energon vampire

echo can feed from pre-harvested energon in storage, but benefits far more from fresh energon straight from a living source. if he spends too long away from feeding he will slowly deteriorate and become more wild and unstable until he feeds, such a state is inconsolable until he gets what he needs to push away his strong urge to drink

this sort of reputation is hidden from his fellow autobots, still remaining his position in the ranks but others straying away in fear of being his next snack. echo is not a big bot by any means but is no minicon either, and at his worst can bite and snap coolant lines easily when pouncing

his 'cape' wraps around his form like a cloak while in robot mode, but can open up to lay at his back for more movement, this capelet module also happens to be his alt mode that he transforms into when neccessary which isn't too often and possibly affected by his energon curse messing up his internals

echo gets lonely quite easily, naturally needing to want to be in a colony that is inclusive of all members as per social requirements to be okay. he flocks to rocket who seems to be the only mech that tolerates him and also happens to feed him fresh energon in secret from his own lines

echo is a planet cartographer, his namesake being around 'echolocation' to map out his surrounding, he also uses camera drones to extend his reach and make the process faster, keeping his maps up-to-date for his base's use. this sort of job means he is alone a lot even more, leaving homebase to work long trips with limited resources, egging on easy and sudden episodes of strong hunger
