Humans are innately curious creatures; In their pursuit of knowledge, however, some turn to outside influence for counsel, whether it be ritualistic or wholly palliative to sating their peace of mind. Fortune telling devices, tools for clairvoyance, or instruments to open a dialogue with the beyond with little regard to what forces are answering them. In this frantic fervor for answers, as emotions and tensions run high, this clairvoyant kyrlicht is there to pick up the line.
Medi deals in matters of fact and fate above all else; Communion with the beyond for all those burning questions that keep one up at night and plague their thoughts. However, their contract is never so simple as a yes or no. The deals are that of a double edged sword, never quite answering what the human Wants to hear but over the course of the contract they find what they Needed to know. These often painful truths aren't done out of a sense of malice, moreso a misguided attempt to help..
His contract leaves those bound with their own reading device, with which to contact the medium. However, he's often indirect and many sidled in his contracts find frustration with the process, impatient to what would Seem like a simple end.
Medi is WOEFULLY esoteric, even for kyrlicht standards. While they're honest to a fault and abhor lying, it's often muddied in whataboutisms and flowery prose. Though they have, as evidenced in their contracts, advanced precognitive prowess, they themselves answer to their own higher power when it comes to matters of knowledge or fate to a frantic degree.
While she typically goes by Medi in casual contexts, that name in itself is a nickname she spun from her status as a medium. Her "name" is Augur, though she typically only uses it in a professional or formal sense. And that alone is a grey area, simply the most recent Name she's given herself over time- most appellations no more than titles that have "stuck".
While doing business in the human world, chiefly in regards to interacting with contracts she often adopts a "doll size" of around 90cm. However, among the wildwood or in larger social ventures, she typically stands within a more reasonable kyrlicht range- though is still relatively short. She always walks on tiptoes or uses heels, though that only amends so much.
Medi has seven eyes total. In addition to his normal eyes, he has a vertical eye sitting at the third eye chakra on the forehead, as well as four eyes along his ribs that resemble gills. All extraneous eyes have red sclera.
Their sphere material is that of a magic 8 ball, all floating spheres and major joints reflecting this. The floating triangles within are not always visible and may display different results. Their digits are also breached with this material, making their fingers permanently black.
The crown sitting at their behind has "GOOD BYE" engraved along the bottom of it (both front and back views). This crown, the planchettes at their temples, and the flaming spheres are all freely floating and not connected to their body. Their tail, while connected to their backside, is segmented into four parts, and all but the main "body" are freely floating as well (IE the ventral and tail fins).
