When he was young, his people were wiped out by a natural disaster combined with a plague, which were indirectly caused by Divina Drakovi’s battles against the monstrous horrors.  The growth of Erisda’s left wing was stunted by sickness and he was compensated for his losses with financial support until he was 24, provided he got an education and joined the Saraph (OC ethnicity/species) military for at least a year.

He met his only friend, Aradeyn Kadei, in a competitive school, who he wanted to start a business with.  However, he distanced himself from the school immediately after graduation and joined the military, where he invested in the mining industry with his pay.  Erisda re-emerged as one of the wealthiest and most influential Saraphs, with control over the industrial equipment, electronics, and information technology industries.

He made a public contract with Jin Drakovi for his businesses, and a secret contract to find Aradeyn in exchange for his participation in a tournament.  He invited Deyna (formerly Aradeyn) to live with him, and they eventually got married and had a child, Ruihali.
