Hime is a typical high-class girl. While her father is kind and down-to-earth, she tends to be a little more snooty and naive about how the world works.

She sees Bijin as her personal servant and gets mad when Bijin isn't there to help her (when Bijin is off fighting monsters that came out of the hole) and doesn't understand that Bijin's first and foremost duty is to stop monsters from invading the village. She looks down on the villagers in a naive way ("What do you mean you don't have time to do anything but work in the fields?"). She is well-studied, with personal tutors teaching her about the world.

She is nonreligious and doesn't believe that there is a God, or that there even is a hole that demons come out of.

People who are chosen to be the next priests/priestesses are marked by having long, pointed ears and, soon after birth, having little buds sprout out of the forehead. Usually, it is rare that the next priest/ess is born from or even related to any other priest/esses. Because of this, her father spoils her and though he tries to teach her about her priestly duties, she thinks that she'll never have to deal with any of it. She refuses to believe that her father may one day pass, and loudly proclaims that she doesn't want to be a priest.

The villagers have a neutral to negative opinion about her, wondering why God chose her as the next priestess, and hopes that they will be protected properly. They know that if all else fails, Bijin will try her best to protect them.
