Félix Achiri

Félix Achiri is a 2nd Yr Pomefiore student at Night Raven College. It's a good thing he's fast on his feet, because his tongue sure ain't. From the Jungle of Imperial Silence, Félix has always been yearning to go to college in order to get a good job and rise in rank in the eyes of his cloistered society.

"Why do something today that you can do tomorrow?"

Félix would be stated often to have the body of a human, the mind of a cat, and the personality of a dog. To Félix, that is truthfully how he is. To strangers, Félix comes across as a friendly person who is confident in what he says and is honest with his intentions no matter how offputting they can be. He finds being manipulative or deceitful a waste of his time and would rather talk things out than play mind games. That can come off as rather abrasive as he will often talk over a person or quickly talk to the point no one understands him in his excitement to talk. Though he does have his moments of wit, he is more likely to trip over himself due to his exciteable nature.

Though he can seem self absorbed in the conversation, he is not with generosity and tact. In fact he considers it a trade off to keep conversation in exchange for gifts, as if giving a gift will easily sort out any issue found in his path. The gifts tend to be of a thoughtful nature rarely found among the students of NRC. He also is known to give the shift off his back to anyone who asks, thinking doing good will give good back to him.

Open-minded, Félix doesn't judge others and prefers to keep a neutral stance on everything. People can become frustrated by what they see as "fence-sitting" behavior, but to their ire his only response is that "Better to fence-sit than be trapped behind a wall of regret." Once he acts, Félix is known to be rather reckless in his endeavors, however, which is noted to be quite unlike him until its revealed he cuts corners to quickly reach his goal.

Unambitious, if not lazy, Félix will always cut corners and do the bare miniumum to succeed as he rather would like to put the energy into things he actually cares about. He finds himself not becoming a perfectionist and more appreciative of the smallest things in that regard, and that grades or being the best at something isn't the most important thing in life.

Unique Magic: From the Grapevine

An ability to pass along information through plant life like a mushroom via touch. Félix can translate and recieve information from the plants around him and communicate back. He can give others information through the plants via touch, as well. Though recently it has turned out that Félix can not only communicate with plants, but also use them as weapons and defenses. The most fearful of this "control" is his ability to cause asphyxiation.

Talent: Rock-Climbing

Due to his cat like reflexes, Félix has a knack for climbing up things, but especially rocks. Many like to joke he is like a goat, except he can actually land on his feet from a great fall. He also has the nasty habit of dragging up food and junk he loves onto the branches of trees he climbed.

Hobby: Swimming

Félix has been swimming ever since he could walk, and he likes to do it often as the water is rather refreshing for him, especially after a climb. Because of this, however, Félix gives everyone else grief as he hogs the bathroom all to himself.

Other: Stone Masonry

Félix can carve beautiful and detailed carvings out of stone, though it takes him a long time. Most of his work tends to take shape towards animals and plants. The only people he has ever tried to carve was both Jamil and his deceased sister.

  • Félix can speak French, like Rook, and both have been known to speak back in forth to eachother when they want to keep information private. Félix can speak English too.
  • Félix's name roughly means "Happy" or "Fortunate". Achiri means "Warrior" or "War Leader". Félix's name is also a reference to the iconic character Félix the cat.
  • Félix loves comic books, particularly of a spider beast man known as SpiderBeast, as well as a wizard called SuperWiz.
  • Félix likes to test his luck by using the jungle vines to swing from location to location, though he usually fails due to a lack of upper-body strenght. Many cuts and scratches came from Félix trying to test his luck.
  • Besides the freckles all over his face, Félix also has them on his tail-bone, and shoulders. They are meant to emulate a leopard's spots.
  • Due to Félix's keen senses, it's very hard to sneak up on him. On the other hand, loud noises like gunshots tend to hurt his ears, and he's more susceptible to bad smells.
  • Félix's necklace was a gift for his mother after discovering his unique magic. He cried because she hurt a plant to make it.
  • Other characters tend to confuse Félix for either a Jaguar or Cheetah rather than a leopard.
  • Félix likes to sleep in trees, and built a tree-house in NRC's courtyard. It's based on the fact that leopards are very enthusiastic tree climbers.

Quotes:

"All you do is yank on guys heartstrings and take no responsibility for it!"

"Looking at my parents I wonder why they had kids if they honestly hate eachother."

Story

Background

"I don't think we're close enough to talk about that, but why not? Lets do it!"

Born to two loving parents and an ambitious older sister, Félix grew quite complacent in his life. Seeing as there was no niche to fill in his eyes, and his parents spoiling him in both material objects they could not afford, and love, in general, he found himself more simply following in his parents footsteps in tending to the land. It was only until his older sister died that he thought of stepping up to the plate of life. His parents were knocked with grief, and bills had to be paid in full as well as the funeral arrangements needing to be paid for. Resentful of actually having to earn his keep, now, he performed dutifully in taking care of his aging parents on top of everything else. Félix also worked on his grades in order to escape to Night Raven College. He'll find both a chance to breathe and a chance to make something of himself.

The reality is, however, that the best laid plans often go to waste. Once his unique magic activated, and revealed his usefullness to the crown of Kershaw, Félix and his family were given title and rank as servants of the king, Félix particularly using his magic to spy on the enemies of the crown. Through family ambition and persistance, Andre rose his family even higher in rank to become transporters of gifts of ivory to the Sultan of the Land of Scalding Sands. To close the deal of the Sultan financing the inperialistic ambitions of Kershaw, the gifts needed to come in without even a speck of dust or crack in armor.

The Achiri family failed, as pirates not only took their gifts, but also sank their ship once done with them to cover their tracks. It was only Félix 's swimming skills and luck he made it to shore, alive. Immediately flanked by guards, Félix and his family were taken to the embassy to explain their plight, Andre begging that everything was a misunderstanding and that they can come back with even more gifts to make up for the insult placed upon the Sultan. Once again, Félix came to the rescue by showing off his Unique Magic, and its his updated ability of depriving oxygen in the whole room and stunning everyone. It was only after Andre stated the Sultan can have Félix if they let Andre and his wife leave to make up for the gifts lost.

Félix was thus, placed in the house of the Asim family--relatives of the Sultan. Taught to not be a laughstock and instead a worthy servant of the Asims via the Viper family, Félix was used to the circumstances of servitude, but not less resentful as before. In his eyes, the Vipers were intelligent, but not exactly strong or fast enough to keep up with him. Continually Félix found himself beating their son, Jamil, in sparring every week. However, they grew a friendship over time, and even got married per Kalim's request. Not understanding what marriage meant, the boys would simply continue with their usual relationship.

Félix 's country, however, revealed its instability via its Coup, courtesy of Félix 's father, and resulting in a Civil War that other nations feared would infect the rest of the world with "Democratic" ideals. As a result, the countries not only blockaded the country, but also helped Kershaw by sending in troops to surpress the coup. Félix , himself, felt the effects firsthand as not only was he scrutinized by the other servants, but eventually chased back home on a ship due to an asassination attempt. Though Jamil told Félix to ignore the taunts, it broke Jamil to hear that Félix "ran away", and deeply shamed him that he ignored his "husband's" concerns.

Félix found himself unable to forgive Jamil, Kalim, and his parents for traumatizing him through their own traumas, but had to help his father fight to keep the flame of rebellion alive. As a child soldier, Félix used his unique magic on multiple people, risking overblotting for an ideal he didn't really concern himself with. He would call it a traumatizing time, but at least now Kershaw is gone and replaced with a "President". With the country renewing itself, the blockade disappeared, and Félix was urged by his mother to go to NRC like he originally planned.

Prologue

Félix does not appear in this Episode.

Book I: The Crimson Tyrant

Félix is shown sitting next to Epel as he struggles not to go ham on actual ham, Vil looking towards them both to make sure they are eating politely and not like brutes. Félix simply looks forlorn, quietly swallowing his meatloaf. The MC remarks that he looks very beautiful, to Grim's annoyance.

Book II: The Rebel from the Savannah

Félix has not been injured and was still a contender to become a apart of the Pomefiore Spelldrive Team, however, that was not from Ruggie's lack of trying. Being a beastman, Ruggie knew Félix could and would smell him a mile away, even with his unique magic. Ruggie had to be stealthy, but quickly gave up, as Félix brutally confronted Ruggie, himself. Ruggie, however, ran away before Félix could question him, and planned to tell the MC after telling Vil.

Vil went wild on Leona the next time they met, with Leona outright denying Ruggie's involvement due to lack of evidence. Leona spoke up how in the last dorm meeting he didn't want a handicap to win, and he meant it. "The little cat of yours must have simply been lying." He snarled, with Félix hissing right back. Vil got in between them, before turning on his heel in a huff. "Listen, and listen well well, Félix. I believe you, but I can't and won't play detective in trying to expose this pied piper and his rat. We'll just have to do, without." "But Vil-""No, buts! If those Pomefiore students weren't able to detect a rat, then maybe they weren't ready for this year's tournament!" "...Okay."

Like the MC, Félix had heard the news that Jamil was injured, and felt himself reflexively crushing a cup in his hand. He flattened his ears and swished his tail, confused on how to proceed, as he and Jamil were no longer close as they were before. In the end, Félix decided to predator up and made a curry bun as a peace offering. The rest he'll think up as he goes. Félix showed up at the same time as MC, but held back in order to listen in on their conversation. He came along soon after, nervous, and being slightly sweaty. Jamil stiffened, and eyed Félix wearily. So emotions crossed his face, but none ever showed except in his eyes, Félix knew. Félix simply dropped the buns, and ran before Kalim or Jamil got a word in edgewise. "Enjoy the food!" Félix screamed. The MC wondered what the heck was going on, but Cater gave a knowing wheeze. "I'll tell you some other time", Cater winked, before looking to Jamil. The boy suddenly found the floor more interesting, his hands underneath the table tearing into the curry buns. Kalim decided not to ask if he could have some.

Just as confused--perhaps even more so, Jamil invited Félix to come with him to see Leona and the other Savanaclaw students receive their just punishments. Getting Jamil to hold his hand and drag him to the field simply felt like old patterns, and though he was loathed to admit it...it was comforting. Neither spoke, deep in their own thoughts, and didn't let go of each other's hands until Cater painfully gave the handholding attention.

Book III: The Merchant of the Deep Sea

Félix does not appear in this Episode.

Book IV: The Tactician of the Hot Sands

Félix, like Grim, smelled the food from the kitchen, but didn't dare get close to Jamil and the other Scarabia students. Having a whole building to himself, and a right to wander around did nothing to soothe his anxiety concerning his and the Viper's history. Still, the food smelled delicious, and he minded to make a snack himself once they've gone.

Félix heard about the escaping Grim and MC from the Scarabia dorm, bewildered by the Scarabia students rushing past him without even an acknowledgement, after getting beaten by Octavinelle. He made a decision to go the opposite direction to speak to Kalim, as he knows the MC has a habit of pissing people off--but not without good reason.

When Félix first spoke to Kalim, he tried to segway into the conversation concerning the MC, but Kalim was simply so happy to have his "friend" talking to him again he completely ignored anything Félix said. It made Félix uncomfortable to hear Kalim talk about how they must catch up, and he'll summon Jamil shortly so all of them could talk. Thats when Félix butted in to ask about the MC, to whom Kalim gestured to their rooms. Félix decides to look in, hearing nothing, and smelling nothing recent. Kalim followed, concerned and confused when Félix found the room empty, and a huge gaping hole in the room.

Félix and Kalim quickly fought, as Félix pressed about where Jamil is and what Kalim did. "Where is the MC, Kalim?" He asked mockingly, as he revealed that he saw some Scarabia students chase after them on. Kalim didn't know how to respond to this barrage of hostility, and held his hands up in surrender. After that display of submission, Félix calmed down. He then explained and asked about Jamil, to Kalim bringing up some rather distasteful history between them.

This resulted in another fight, as Félix stated that he and Jamil both have changed, and that their marriage wasyears ago when they were practically toddlers. This offended Kalim, as not only was the matchup his idea (it hurt his pride), but it also would hurt Jamil to hear. Jamil had nursed a crush on Félix back then, after all, and by the evidence he had whenever Félix was mentioned to the Viper--still does.

Kalim fled, but only after giving Félix a piece of his mind. He stated that to Félix it might have been a game, but not to Jamil. Félix tried to chase after him, but got distracted by the wet floor, which was not only used to cover everyone's scent tracks, but also to trip up anyone who didn't notice it.

Félix decided to do some searching for Jamil on his own, and ended up dueling some pint sized Scarabia students. Félix decided that he can threaten them, if they don't tell him, then they'll be bait to flush Jamil out.

Félix was correct, as Jamil attempted to rescue the students from Félix. They fought using martial arts, as both were too prideful to use magic to win a duel instead of brute strength. Though also, Félix and Jamil remembered a vow they made with each other not to use magic on eachother.

Félix lost via needle injection of sleeping powder, as Jamil decided to carry non-lethal weapons to appease Kalim, but also defend him, as well. Jamil ordered the Scarabia students to forget what they saw, but also keep on searching for MC. Jamil brought an unconcious Félix to his room to tie up, and then clean up his wounds. Félix woke up at some point, and demanded Jamil to stop whatever he's doing. Jamil said no, and the two argued like everything was under normal circumstances.

Félix told Jamil to stuff it in regards to his so-called "revolution", as he won't be duped by Jamil. He knows his hatred for Kalim was behind all his actions, and that losing his dream position to the heir was the straw that broke the camel's back. Jamil stiffened, before asking why Félix can't understand him. Félix says he wonders the same thing.

Jamil gets up, away from Félix and locks him up in his room. "I'll come back for you, later", he states, closing the doors on Félix before going to the find his Scarabian goons.

Jamil was inwardly panicking as Félix was impromptly forced asleep via another needle and placed in his closet. The boy heard Azul and Floyd outside his room, and he'd be damned if he was caught now...

A prisoner, Félix has been cycling through sleep and wakefullness, Jamil bringing him drinks and food in-between. The rage Félix felt? Unmeasurable. Jamil meanwhile--find this an opportunity to talk to Félix and convince him how justified he is in acting like an asshole. When he heard others outside the room Félix sucked in a breath to let out a harsh scream, but was covered by Jamil.

While Jamil was distracted by the OctaTrio, Félix was rescued by Grim, who sniffed him out. Félix was woken up promptly by MC, who asked who he was. Félix, flustered by everything that passed, got up, and opened the door out.

Félix gave MC and Grim the information he had before they met back up with the OctaTrio. Jamil showed surprise at seeing Félix out of his ropes, but quickly composed himself. Even as Félix spoke of how he was held prisoner for "knowing too much", Jamil stayed stoic.

Félix held away all mind-controlled Scrabia students using his plant conytrolled ability, getting a thanks from Azul as everyone else can now focus on the overblotting Jamil. He held on using his magic and watched helplessly as everyone else was catapulted sky-high. "Jamil!" He cried, his heart rate slowly as magic was getting sucked out of him. Jamil quickly turned to him, and Félix threw his roots to entangle Jamil by his snake hairs. "I can't hold on!"

Though Félix feared overblotting, himself, Félix can't hold back, as Jamil won't. Jamil kept on throwing things at him to get him to let go of his underlings, but Félix held firm. Rooted to his spot, both were held in a stalemate. To Félix's confusion, Jamil began talking as if he already won, and that, simply, irked him. Jamil threw blot that poisoned the plants and let go of some of the underlings. Félix quickly tried to ensnare them, once again, but they ran out of his reach.

Félix was cowed even further as the lost OctaTrio and MC came in singing praises about Jamil--like he didn't eventhrow them out, at all. With attention away from Félix and his ability, he quickly ensared the stragglers.

After the overblot, Azul and MC both thanked Félix for holding back Jamil's goons, to Félix simply staring back. Quickly, Floyd asks about him and why he's involved, when Félix is rudely interrupted by Azul in responding. Explained as a fellow classmate, Azul slyly states that leopards and vipers are known to be the perfect pair in espionage. Jamil's face turned red while Félix simply looked away from them all.

Exhausted, Félix huffed and sat down, but Kalim quickly picked him back up, and said Félix is of course invited too. When Félix looked incredulous, Kalim begged Félix to go and let him make things up a bit, at least. Félix agreed, to Kalim's delight.

Félix was found at the party enjoying the pool, aware of Jamil just as much as Jamil is aware of him. He wasn't happy with all the glaring, but Jamil was not going to get a response for it from Félix. "Two can play at that game", Félix decided.

Book V: The Beautiful Oppressor

Félix was seen at the gymnasium with Kalim and Jamil, though Félix was more or less watching than participating. His ears kept twitching and swiveling because of the music and he seemed to move along to the music, greatly. It irked Jamil that Félix wasn't participating at VDC--and he was determined to get Félix to dance to not only compete (and win) against him, but also to dance alongside him. Félix's refusal and instead stating he'll give tips on what Vil would want to see in his dancers only infuriated Jamil, but he held his anger in and agreed, Kalim tagging along to the both of them. That is what Kalim stated when the MC asked about Epel, and why Félix wasn't dancing.

"Nope, I'm not dancing." Félix stated bluntly. "Personal reasons, you get it?" The MC was bewildered, expecting Vil to push Félix as he was pushing Epel, but Félix shrugged. "Vil's intention was to get all Pomefiore students for his team, but I gave him such a hard time, he stopped asking me. Leopards are stubborn for even him." He smiled. "He said that he's not going to risk a spoiled garden for a dream, and is making me study poisons for what happened with Viper, over here." Jamil's nostrils flared and he shoved Félix. "Stop calling me Viper, you scarabian excrement. Call me Jamil." Félix laughed. "No way." Despite this, he had to leave with Jamil as he left to get the printouts, Azul being the one to recommend (taunt) Félix go with him as "leopards are fast, aren't they?"

In silence, the two got the printouts before Jamil suddenly turned to him, and said "we should race". "You'd lose." Félix sniffed, and walked ahead, only responding when Jamil ran ahead of him. Reaching the doorway of the classroom, Jamil sweat and stank, Félix laughing at it all. Jamil slowly smiled and pulled him into an embrace by the shoulder. "Still got it, I see." "Yup, why wouldn't I?" Félix turned to him, ears pinned back. Jamil coughed, and brought him into class. "You've changedm, that's all." "You have too, Jamil." "Oh, so thats where my name went, now. On your tongue, just under it until now." Félix blushed, feeling perturbed at being caught, red-handed.

Félix was cheering the boys on as they practiced, admittedly admiring Jamil specifically. He was broken out of his stupor when Grim suggested Félix could lead them to Rook. "This cat is from the same dorm as that guy, right? Why can't he lead us?" Félix, of course, stated he has no interest in being around Rook right now. "Like Vil, he is pushing Epel and other Pomefiore students to enter VDC. I don't want to be around that, thanks." Jamil urged Félix to reconsider, but Félix would not budge, to his confusion. Rarely does Félix put his foot down, especially when Jamil himself is involved. Instead, Jamil dragged Félix by the hand to class, not saying a word.

Félix will admit, when Vil asked him to be one of the judges of the auditions, he was shocked. He had no idea why Vil would ask him to do so when there are other, more experienced people to do so. Vil stated that he knows Félix has an eye for dancing and singing, but Félix can only guess how, and the idea turned his heart still to think about. He accepted, if not to be able to watch Jamil and the others perform. Before each person begins their audition, he lets out a meek "Good luck" before sitting back down. Vil admits later on that having Rook was not the smartest idea--as he is "too nice", while he, himself is "too mean". Vil needed a buffer, and knew he had one in Félix.

Like with Rook, Vil also asked for Félix's opinion, to which Félix sputters that he agrees with Rook and his ideas of people with more passion, but also hardworking like the first years. He also recommended Jamil, as though he is polished, he has passion that can outmatch any of the first years in regards to dance. Kalim too. "They love dance more than anyone, Vil. Please let them perform." Vil humphed. "I'll certainly think about it, the tall one was bland, but...he could dance."

Félix watched the brawl between the Pomefiore students and the VDC dancers. He was rather enraptured by the fight, admiring the gallantry of his fellow dormsman and the determination of the VDC dancers. He greets them at the door, to where Jamil point blank asks if Félix sent them. Félix stated yes, he did, though he didn't expect them to actually follow through with it. Jamil face-palmed, and stated that the exercise was Félix's ploy to get them pumped for rehearsal. Deuce and Ace groaned, and scolded Félix, but Félix sighed. "Did you really expect to move like a leopard when your blood is like jello? Vil will want morning exercises for all of you to stretch your muscles!" He lead them to Vil and Rook in the Dorm Lounge, Deuce and Ace grumbling under their breaths as MC admires Félix from afar.

Through Crowley, Félix has been put in as a "Temporary Dorm Head" as Vil and the others are moved to Ramshackle dorm. However, Félix refused under it being "Not my thing" to be a leader in anything. Félix was ignored, as Vil stated that Félix will do it and be capable of doing it--so help him if anything is amiss, he'll make Félix wish he was a ghost than not. Félix immediately shut up. Jamil found himself disappointed that Félix won't meet them anymore, but Kalim seemed to have voiced his sentiments. "Aw, you won't see us anymore? We really liked your tips, Félix!" Félix blushed. "'Fraid not." "Will you at least see us on breaks?" "Maybe..." "Vil was about to say "Absolutely not", but was quickly shushed by Rook.

When Jamil asked for a quick recess was when Félix showed up. After apologizing, and saying he couldn't get away because of his duties, Kalim gave him a rundown about Epel and his struggles. Félix listened attentively, though Jamil was annoyed how Kalim seemed to take Félix's attention away when he spoke. He found himself more angry that Félix didn't come to visit him, sooner, but chided himself for acting so childish. With clenched fists, Jamil suggested that maybe Félix talk to him, as he is being groomed to become the next dorm head. Félix knew, and blushed again, while Kalim looked shocked. "You're right, thank you, Jamil..." Slowly, he held out a bag from behind his back. "Here, I felt you were hungry for some home cuisine. Don't worry, they aren't high in calories, and already portioned." Jamil stiffened, and took the bag before Kalim could. "Thank you. I'll make sure to eat it all up." Blushing himself, Jamil took the bag and gave Félix a "Good Luck", Kalim trailing after with his own encouragement.

Félix made his ancestors proud by how stealthy he was in sneaking up to Deuce and Epel, though, to be absolutely fair with the way they yelled anyone could find and sneak up on them. Félix heard everything, and after a moment of hesitance he put himself in view of the two. "Deuce is right, you know." The two first years exclaimed in shock at seeing Félix, and Deuce asked if he heard all that. "Of course I did, and no, Vil didn't send me. Even he lets people have cool down time." He sat on the sand, Epel scathed by his lack of clothing care. "You're strong, you don't have to worry about Vil, Félix-sempai." "Strong is subjective. Didn't you hear I lost to Jamil over break? I could cream him under my boot--and I have, but he used his greatest strength against me: his brain. Okay, it shamed me, but it happens. In a school like this underestimating anyone is a stupid move, and I learned it the hard way." He put a hand on Epel's shoulder, "Looks like you still haven't learned that lesson, but give it time, Epel." Epel shook him off, and Félix swallowed his discomfort. "He's right," Deuce added. "I thought that the MC wasn't able to do all the things they did, but...they did do it. You're not weak, Epel." Epel turned to look at them, and slowly, he let out a soft smile. "Thanks, I guess.

Félix's ears swiveled as he heard a twig snap. He smelled something older: humans. He turned to the source of the sound, and saw three men come through. He knew he had to protect his underclassman, but Deuce wasn't making it easy by how he blamed himself for this in the first place. "Hey, stop playing hero and let your upperclassman do that, will you?!" He helped Deuce and Epel fight off these men, and was annoyed by them. "Strong? What, like beating up kids is a strong man's move!" He kicked a shell away, huffing.

Félix was once again shocked, for he had received a few tickets from Jamil. He immediately shook his head, thanking Jamil but saying he doesn't need the tickets. "I don't know what you know about my family now, but I don't want my parents there, Jamil." Félix lowered his ears and his tail drooped. To Jamil, it immediately struck him he made a bad move as Félix blinked back tears. He wanted to ask what exactly happened between Félix and his parents but was interrupted by Kalim. Kalim, bless his heart, read the room and tried to back out, but the wound already happened. Jamil tried to speak, but his mouth felt dry, and only one thing came to mind to save him. "My family will be there. Najma sounded really excited to watch me humiliate myself." He smirked at the sibling rivalry. "She also knows you're here...I'd think she'd like to see you." He shifted uncomfortably for a moment, before adding "So will you do me the honor of being there?" "...Yeah, sure, sure. Do you want these extra tickets back? No...how about you invite some friends, instead? I don't have many that'd watch me perform..." Félix bit his lip. "I'm sorry..." He held Jamil's hand for a moment before he was ceremoniously let go and instead held by his waist. Jamil wouldn't look at him, but he could tell Jamil was flustered. "I know, me too."

Félix was found at the science club's booth, admiring the plants. The MC found themselves reaching out to him, and found themselves asking about his unique magic. "Oh, yeah, I never did tell you, did I?" "That's just not something you forget, ya know!" Grim scolded. "Those roots were huge! What did you feed them?! Félix blushed, flustered, abd replied that he used deprived oxygen to make the roots grow larger than usual. "I didn't want to overdo it: If I did I could have overblotted, and my magic is bad enough as it is." Riddle coughed, and stated how Félix helped get the plants to grow healthy and beautifully in time for the festival. Trey agreed, thanking Félix for all his help. Félix blushed again. "R-right..."

After Félix helped get the Science Club in order he went out, bumping into Najma soon after. To say it was a joyful meeting is an understatement, for Najma was bouncing off the walls in her excitement. "Oh!" She exclaimed. "It's Mr. Kitty!" Getting a few stares, Najma realized her slip and blushed. "I-I mean, Félix." She held out her hand, and Félix shook it. "Hi! It's been a while! Just think, we're both here to see Jamil win the VDC!" The ice broken, Félix laughs. "And Jamil told me you were happy to see him fail!" "He doesn't need a bigger head, Félix!" She smiled, before wrapping her arms around him and squeezing tight. "I missed you..." Félix put an arm around her, smiling back. "I missed you too....Hey, let me show you the stalls I worked on." Najma nodded, and grabbed onto his arm. The two walking to stalls and talking like their separation never happened. The mood only shifted when Najma brought up Jamil.

"You know, my brother told me everything." She squeezed his arm. "About how you guys met at NRC, and that...you didn't really run away." Najma quickly wiped her face in trying to hide tears, but Félix wasn't fooled and he quickly took a napkin from a stall to give her. "Do you know he needed my help with chores after you left?" She let that question hang, Félix turning away with lowered ears. He knew what she implied. "And it wasn't even your fault." She turned to him "I'm sorry, I yelled so many insults about you to make him feel better!" Félix gaped, before Najma slowly burst into laughter, and Félix followed suit. "Apology accepted! Just don't scare me like that, geez!" "Ha, no promises!" Najma ran, and Félix followed--all the way to VDC.

After Neige's song, Félix blinked, perplexed. "A...kid's song?...What gall! Do they really think popularity will win them the vote?" Najma had to calm Félix down, and Félix sat stewing. He couldn't believe the choices Neige--or rather, his producers made, and bit his lip. He was worried for Vil and how'd he take it, and wonders if Night Raven could beat Royal Sword.

Félix smelled something foul, and he grimaced. He only smelled that scent once before, and he told Najma that he needs to go check the plants one more time. There, he ran off and bumped into Jamil, who was actually looking for him. "So you smelled..." "Yes..." The two knew what was up, and ran back to Vil and the others. "Is Najma safe?" "Duh! I told her that she should try the virtual board games! She hardly ever gets to play with technology, right?" "Right!"

Félix was on the Magic Carpet with Jamil. Kalim asks why he is here, when Jamil states that he only picked up a hitchhiker already going to Vil. Kalim states that Félix can be just as forward thinking as Jamil, which causes Jamil to stiffen and Félix to blush. "I-it's nothing...I just have beastman senses, nothing thoughtful like Jamil..." Grim butted in by reminding everyone at the task at hand. Like the others, Félix is out to fight Vil for his own sake. "He taught me how valuable poison is, even in a world of magic that can take out hundreds of people--like I'd not help him!"

Félix was tired just like everyone else, but for once, as he panted after Vil's defeat--Vil did not scold him. Vil instead sighed, and stroked his head. "You...came back to me?" "Yup." Félix said simply, cocking his head and grinning. "Can't leave my dorm head for dead, can I?" Vil smirked. "Can't let someone this beautiful die, is that it?" Rook practically confirmed Vil's question. "Non! Beauty never dies, Roi de poison." Vil sighed. "I guess you're right..."

Félix wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry at the MC's audacity of calling Malleus "Tsunotaro". Simply, he stayed like a lump, staring wide eyed until Kalim broke him out of his stupor. Jamil told him to cheer him on as he gave him a lift back to the stadium. "But what about Najma?" Félix whined, and Jamil couldn't help but smile slightly. "I'll pick her up, don't worry about that." Though Jamil destested his childish feelings, he couldn't deny he was slightly jealous of how well Félix and his sister got along, and would separate them, for just a few moments.

Félix was breathless by Jamil's and the rest of NRC's performance, and admittedly filmed it for himself. However, he began to sweat when it was time to vote, his finger hoovering over the buttons...

Relationships

Andre Achiri [Father]

"Aren't you ever tired of this?! Just tell us what you really think about us, dad!" Andre is as calculating as he is solitary, with as much ambition as a tiger, to boot. He never had an outlet for his ambitions, however, except for competing with other peasants to make the best grain. With Félix 's Unique Magic presenting itself as powerful, Andre finally had an outlet for all his emotions, and a way to rise in rank in society. The result? Head servant to the King of Kershsaw. He views Félix more as a tool than anything else, and states that he preferred Félix's sister Abiathan him.

Nadine Achiri [Mother]

"Leave me alone, mom. In fact, if you think me and father are just holding you back: just leave!" Nadine also worked in the fields in order to make enough food to not only pay the landlord, but also to have enough food to put on the table. Married to Andre, Nadine actually had little say as she had no family to object for her sake or had anywhere else to go if the marriage failed. She's constantly frustrated by her children and husband, but she sees that her children are innocent in all this. Nadine was the only one to object to Félix being given away, but self-preservation won out in the end.

Abia Achiri [Older Sister]

"I don't know her, and I don't want to know her." Abia was ambitious like her father, and with her lioness strength she snuck out at night to fight in illgal rings in order to win money for herself and her family. No one dared to question where Abia got the money, but she was constantly scolded for falling asleep as she herded the cattle. Her death rocked the family to the core, as not only did the family lose a source of income, but also caused the family dynamic to reverse, with Félix now the adult, and the parents becoming the children. Having a large age-gap, Félix didn't particularly know her or hang out with her. Surprisingly, he doesn't hold any bitterness towards her either, even now.

Vil Schoenheit [Dorm Leader]

"Vil, please remove the stick up your butt. I can tell it's hurting you." Vil and Félix never got along, though its more due to incompatability than actual effort to start a conflict with eachother. Whatever Vil says, Félix casually ignores until Vil blows such a gasket that Félix has to deal with it. Vil's staunch view of beauty simply goes against Félix's own view, which consists of raw, untamed honesty and enjoyment than poise and grace. They hang out only when necessary, but Vil does admit Félix's stone masonry is beautiful, and encourages Félix to try crafting jewelry for money.

Rook Hunt [Dorm Mate]

"It's just Rook being Rook. What else is there for me to say? I can't control or convince him of anything." Félix is another apple of Rook's eye, thus, is perpetually stalked. Félix doesn't particulary mind, admitting he doesn't mind some company. With that earnest take, Rook and him and have become quite close, and usually converse on the meaning of beauty. Rook usually praises his athletic skills, to which Félix usually rebukes "Oh, I'm just getting started, Rook!"

Epel Felmier [Dorm Mate]

"I just want some peace, is that really wrong?" Epel and Félix can be described as the older brother dealing with the annoying younger brother. Though he does not hate Epel, he finds the expectations placed on him to guide and encourage Epel to be a hinderance to his goals of passing school with the least amount of effort possible. Epel looks up to him, and expects him to defend him against Vil's tirades, to which Félix does not, and thus, breaks Epel's heart. They only become closer once Félix takes his school life more seriously.

James Morgan [One-Sided Rival]

"What have you honestly done to deserve his love?" Based on his outside perspective, Félix just dislikes James. He finds James' treatment of Azul to be horrendous, as James dumps Azul one moment before getting back together with him in another. Though Azul in his eyes is slimy, it's obvious to him and many others that Azul cares for James, so James has no reason to worry in regards to their relationship and finds James' simply being melodramatic. It doesn't help that Jamil has pursued James in the past, so he feels like he is only being romantically pursued now is because Jamil realizes he has no real chance with Morgan. In James' view, Félix is just an ill-tempered cat. With time, perhaps all these judgements the two have each-other will be dispelled, and they can at least tolerate eachother.

Kalim al-asim [Aquaintance]

"Kalim, peacocks can get fat too, so cut it out with the crackers, okay?" The two talk a lot with eachother, which satisfies Jamil as Jamil trusts not to have to need to protect Kalim in regards to Félix. However, Félix never truly saw Kalim as a friend, as Félix knew how tense the relationship between Jamil and Kalim was. Kalim saw the opposite, and says Félix is a good friend. In fact, Félix is usually invited to all of Kalim's parties because "Félix makes Jamil happy". Félix tends to help Jamil babysit Kalim because of his own crush on the Viper, so Jamil has a lot of trust in him.

Jamil Viper [Friend]

"I'm not James' replacement, so don't bother unless you actually want to touch me." Félix and Jamil met again by chance, with Jamil wanting to make "alliances" and picking people out who he deemed appropriate during lunchtime. Félix didn't make it easy for him though, as Félix found the man uninteresting compared to his loud, talkative "friend". They only began to bond by Jamil using Kalim as a bargaining chip. Though it hurt his pride how horribly he could network, Jamil had to rely on Kalim in that department, and he knew it. Overtime, through babysitting Kalim, the two began to bond. They talked much over their cultures, and lives, and found a way to connect over having to pick up after broken people. Though both considered eachother a potential boyfriend, life simply got in the way until Kalim arranged a dinner for the two to partake. Read More

Floyd Leech [Friend]

"This pair is mine!" The two have a rather simple friendship, with both tending to enable eachother's worst habits. Félix stated that Floyd reeked of fish, and Floyd found Félix funny over that, and how often Félix fought against him over shoes. As Félix collects sneakers, like Floyd collects shoes, they usually found themselves at odds with eachother over them at Sam's shop and the islands' stores. Those fights simply devolved into an eventual comradry as Floyd refused to leave Félix alone. Félix likes Floyd, but hates that this relationship makes him spend more time with James' by proxy.

Ruggie Bucchi [Close Friend]

"...Why are you helping me?" The two are friends as long as they avoid speaking about James, as Ruggie will defend his friend against any barbs Félix has, though thankfully Félix is conflict averse. Most of their conversations consist of rumors surrounding the school, and of the senses, as though Ruggie has learned to tune out his sensitive beastman senses, Félix has not, and is struggling; Ruggie feels enough pity to help Félix out in that regard. Recently, the two have started a barbacue truck together, which has caused quite a conflict with Octavinelle. Azul does not like the competition, and James isn't helping by his longing to help them.
