Backstory:
- Once a normal Kalon
- A nearby dragon was terrorizing the village, stealing gold killing live stock and burning down crops.
- She had been trained to wield a sword by the local blacksmith
- Nobody else was stepping up
- They tried to hire people outside the village, but since there was little pay and high risk, they all said no
- So she went to go after it
- She managed to kill it, but lost her arm in the process
- The thing is, it was a sorcerers familiar
- A curse was set upon it, that the one who slayed it would merge with the body, protecting the original hoard. Forever.
- The transformation is... Really painful, and she loses pretty much all of her memories.
- The only thing she remembers is: She used to be a normal Kalon, killed the dragon and merged, and her new job is to protect the hoard.
- That means: no leaving the cave.
- The village is concerned for her, but at the same time nobody wants to get near the cave and die.
- Eventually they just... Forget about her.
- But legends still persist.
- Passing adventurers hear about it and investigate
- Thus many battles and lost limbs
